(From the start of the story i had planned for this part to be released on Valentine's day but I'm clearly quite late)

Splendor remained silent for another moment before clearing his throat, placing a gentle kiss on your forehead before finally setting you down, leaving the room "Splendy?" You questioned quietly as you slowly stood to follow him "wait there for a second Y/N!" He called back, you nodded, sitting back down on the couch and waiting somewhat anxiously for the other's return, it didn't take long at all before Splendor walked back into the room, with a smile now on his face and something hidden behind his back "whatcha got there?" You asked, earning a giggle from the large male "guess" he said, rocking back on his heels playfully, you thought for a moment, it could be any number of things, flowers, another cake, a new sweater "im gonna guess it's aaaaa....suprise" you answered with a somewhat smug smile, finding that response quite clever in your mind " you are exactly right!" Splendor replied, before showing you what it was that he was hiding, it was a picnic basket, you looked up at him, patiently awaiting an explanation "I found my old picnic basket, and so I am taking you out for a picnic!" He said "we've both been cooped up in this house for far too long, I made bread for sandwiches" he then added, you stood, walking over to the large male and holding your arms out for a hug, smiling sweetly "alright, that sounds like a lot of fun" he said, at which point he hugged you tightly, lifting you up off of the ground and walking into the kitchen with a happy little squeal, he quickly threw together some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with raspberry jelly and homemade bread, placing them in the basket and heading outside, carrying you with one arm and the basket with the other "I know a great spot, I usually go there to get flowers" he said as you looked around, the sun was still out and the woods were peaceful other than the rustling of the leaves and the chirping of the birds "close your eyes" Splendor mumbled you complied, assuming you must be near wherever it was he was taking you, after only a moment splendor sat down on the ground, crossing his legs and setting you in his lap but keeping his arms around you "you can look now" he said quietly, at which point you opened your eyes, allowing them to adjust to the light before looking around yourself, you sat protected from the sun, in the shade at the edge of a small clearing which was filled with beautiful pink blossoms, this felt familiar to you, that dream which you had had so many times, this was it, suddenly you became somewhat fearful, in the dream, when you looked up, you would wake up, what if that happened again, what if all of this was just another dream and you woke up in your own bed, and had to go back to your boring job, and possibly never see Splendor again, a gentle kiss was then placed on the top of your head as Splendor tightened his grip on you, pulling you from your thoughts "you're shaking dear" he mumbled with a tone of worry, you squeezed your eyes shut, taking a deep breath and tilting your head back, hesitating before opening your eyes to see Splendor looking down at you with a confused expression "Y/N?" He questioned "is everything alright?" Your heart jumped and you gave a wide goofy smile "you're real" you said "you're not a dream" you added before turning to face him as he raised a brow with a confused smile "i'd sure hope s-" he was cut off as you pulled him down by the collar of his shirt and kissed him, pulling back slowly as you still clutched his shirt "I love you" you mumbled quietly as he looked at you with a somewhat suprised expression "I love you too Y/N" he said, clutching at your back loosely and giving you another gentle kiss "is everything alright?" You leaned into him, pressing your face into the center of his chest, nodding a slight bit "everything's perfect" you answered
