Chapter 8- New Start

Angel's POV

Bang! Bump! Crash!

I rushed into the living room scared of what had cause those noises.  I release a breath of relief at the sight of my three destructive three years olds. Angelica sat on the couch watching Angelo and Angela play fight on the mat. My once strong coffee table lied broken behind them as Angelica cheered them on. Angela flipped Angelo on his back and was declared the winner, jumped for joy while Angelo pout but I could see the clear joy in his eyes.

I clear my throat, three heads snapped towards me. Angelo had a black eye and many bruises, it was the same for Angela. Why do I even try?

"Mama!" They shout running to my now kneeling form. I watch as they giggled racing to reach me first. Their injuries slowly heal before my eyes shocking me.

That's strange, really strange. I always hear them play fight but when I reach they are always finished with no harm. Now I know why. "Okay guys, who want to visit Uncle Xavier."

As usual, they cheered rushing off to gather their stuff. I need to know what is happening to my babies. Since their birthday last month, they were changing. They became faster, stronger, and smarter than a normal pup. It worries me, even their anger as rose.

"Are my angels ready to go?" I gazed lovingly at my enthusiastic pups.

"Yes, mama!"

The walk was short as the packhouse was quite near. Life at the pack as being a new start and it was a good one. My angels became close to Xavier really quickly and also his twin brothers, Ethan and Ezra. The pack members accepted us as their own and treated us fairly and with love which I was grateful for. Xavier and I also grew closer, he is like a brother to me. It turns out he is a mama bear. It took a hell load of convincing to let me get my own house but even then he practically lived here.

We strolled to the familiar six-story building greeting the few people we passed. The triplets couldn't have patience and rushed to the large doors. I laugh in my mind at the repetitive situation of them running to the doors in excitement but was disappointed when they couldn't push open the set of heavy doors. My heart froze at the sight of them pushing the door open with ease and disappeared behind it.

"There is definitely something," I muttered, to myself accelerating to catch up the three musketeers.

Upon passing the white doors I could hear the chattering of Xavier's guttural voice and the kids. The living room was occupied with Xavier, his twin brothers, and his sister, Amanda with of course my babies.

"Hey, Ann."

"Hey, guys. Um Xavier I need to talk to you."

Ace's POV

My dark blue walls that have been with me throughout my twenty years feel like a concrete cage. Reminding me of my ever mistakes, wrongdoing, and failure. I rose from the bed, pushing away the satin blue sheets. The shuffling of Lizzie beside me brought back the feeling of unsatisfactoriness. I groaned in frustration from walking to my shower. Coldwater glided down my body not missing a spot and taking the frustration with it. Truth be told the last time my needs were satisfied was two years ago when I took Angel's innocence. Since then no other woman was able to calm this burning hunger. But it's good that she is gone. She isn't fit to be Luna, my Luna. Lizzie fits the role better; she is stronger, hot, and knows her place. If this continues she will be my Luna in a year.

I walked out of the now empty room with a scowl on my face. The girls giggled as I passed but my wolf was growling lowly in the back of my head. That's the only sound he makes apart from the occasional grunts and whimpers. He hasn't said a word in exactly two years and months. He misses Angel. He's just too blind to see she is not good enough for us. I got angry growled in response.

I cleared my head of these useless thoughts and focus on the field before me, filled with warriors. Lizzie was present and had just won a match. The other warriors were either sparring or exercising. I can see the warriors are growing in strength from the training I put them through. If this continues on the same path they will be exceptionally skilled in eight years for the Grand Battles. That is stage every year for wolves all over the world. I think that is my favorite event.

Wolves age 10-45 can enter since wolves shift at ages 8-10. I didn't enter the last time but I plan to now. In the meantime, I will build my strength and my warriors also. This is an event where you can gain respect or a name for your pack and yourself and I plan to do exactly that.

"Listen up warriors!" My voice rang through the field, they stop want they were doing and placed their undivided attention on me. "I want everyone to pick a partner smaller or bigger than you then you will begin to spar."

They look confused but did has I say without question. They have learned the consequence of questioning me from Daniel's broken form in the hospital trying to recover. A minute passed and grunts filled the air. I let Beta Brian take over the training and went to the forest for a much-needed run.

The cool breeze brushes gently through my coal black fur. The sweet scent of nature blanket my being in a peaceful haze as I run the lengths of the forest. The pounding of my large paws against the forest bed echoed through the forest probably scaring the animals away.

I came to a screeching halt at the woman who appeared before me. There was a light and heavenly glow to her with a silver Cresent moon on her forehead representing her status.

"You shouldn't have rejected your mate. I made her your mate for a reason." Her voice was motherly and soothing.

"With all due respect moon goddess, I think you made a mistake." I bowed, Angel was not fit to be my Luna.

"Your right son." I smiled, glad the moon goddess realized this mistake.

"I should have mated her with a more worthy mate. Though in time you will reap what you sow." I watched flabbergasted, as she continued and disappeared before my eyes.
