Chapter 31- Short, not a child

Third Person's POV

"Can I kill you?" Angel yawned widely, slouching over the kitchen island.

"Are you drunk?" Andy stared at her over his shoulder for a few seconds, before flipping pancakes.

"No just-" Another massive yawn interrupted Angel's statement. "-really sleepy."

She couldn't bother to even wipe the tears gathering at the corner of her eyes because of the yawns. Her ruby eyes drooped closed and she started fading between consciousness and dreamland.

"Didn't you guys went to bed early last night?" Andy was making breakfast for the kids since Angel woke with  heavy fatigue and can't even keep her eyes open for five seconds. Don't worry he volunteered to make their breakfast.

"Yeah, big mistake...the more I....sleep the sleepier......." She didn't get to finish the statement before she drifted into dreamland, her words slowly fading.

Unfortunately for Angel, the more she sleeps the more tired she will be. Actually if she sleep more than eight hours well this happens.

She was seated at the end of the island with her head rested on the marble top. In her sleeping state, she was gradually leaning over the edge unbeknown to her.

"Whoa!!" Andy exclaimed, at the sight of her falling body.

Alpha Hunter entered the room at the right time to see the sleeping beauty falling off the chair. Reacting fast, he sinked to his knees catching her before she met the cold floor. Her eyes fluttered open to look at the pair of icy blue eyes penetrating her, at last her fatigue won and she drift to sleep in the warm embrace of the Alpha.

Not completely sure as to what to do in this situation he walked to the adjacent room to rest her on the couch. That proved to be a difficult task when Angel's small hands clasped tightly on his shirt. His eyes widen, before staring at the sleeping beauty in curiosity similar to the stares he was receiving from the occupants of the room. Others try to run away or escape the pressuring force of his presence but not this tiny lady instead she clutched on to him like a koala sleeping to her heart's content.

He was reluctant to release her to beginning with so he was okay with it and didn't mind a reason to keep her in his embrace. He quietly took a seat at the island, his brother glanced at Angel before looking at his brother.

"Why didn't you put her in the other room?"

"She wouldn't let go of my shirt."

Anderson spared his brother a glance before turning his attention to the pan before him to hide his amused grin. They both knew he could have easily released her grip on his shirt or that was their thoughts. In few minutes, the breakfast were ready and plated, on cue the kids enter the room.

Angela paused in her movement at her mother curled up in the arms of the alpha with a silently deadly aura. 'Only ma as the power to make a dangerous man look like a big teddy bear.' She stared at him with an eyebrow raised.

"Good morning, Alpha Hunter." As usual he replied with a nod. "How did my dear mother reach in your arms?"

She met Alpha Hunter's eyes unwaveringly, demanding the truth. "She fell while she was sleeping and I caught her, now she hasn't released her hold on my shirt."

Angela laughed, it wasn't shocking to her for her mother is indeed a cuddler like her little brother and can sleep like rock around people she trust so she knew Alpha Hunter was a trustworthy guy. She nodded and took a sleep across from Angelo, leaving the seat beside and across Alpha Hunter empty.
