Seems like something people have been interested in lately. Since I've been around so long I knew where to find all the old entry spreadsheets. So here it is, just facts.
I could be wrong, but I think that 2014 and 2015 were years in which there was no spreadsheet of entries, which is why they are not included. 2013 was the first year the contest was run, and it definitely did not have a spreadsheet of entries.

I was a judge in 2016, which might be why I have this but not 2014-2015 (if those spreadsheets exsited).

The 2017 spreadsheet was reused for 2018, but this is the version history from the end of 2017, which shows the count of entries for that year.

For those without a calculator handy, this adds up to 46. This means that there are more entries this year than there were last year, not less. Although there were fewer entries that got completed before the deadline.
