Just the Beginning

Charlie was surprised. Her gaze connects to my soul.

I slipped my hand onto my pocket and then showed her a ring.

"I love you, Charlie. I'm serious, I want to spend the rest of my life with you... Would you like to spend yours with mine too?" I proposed.

With tears forming in her eyes, she looked at the ring then back to my eyes before she replied, "YES of course!!!"

We both smiled and hugged each other. It's the happiest day of my life!

The moment we let go, I immediately put the ring on her finger then sealed it with a kiss.

"I promise to be with you until my last breath, my love..." I cried.

We both wiped each other's tears then shared a passionate kiss.

"I love you, Blake! So much that words aren't enough...." Charlie exclaimed.

"I know love! I can feel it..." I replied while caressing her face with my right hand.

"Love, matagal mo na ba tong plano?" She asked.

"Well, almost a month na... I'm just really waiting for the right moment. Dami ko ng naisip na pakulo pero your parents said na it would be so much better kung plain and simple lang basta dapat galing sa puso... So ayun! Sorry love, hindi ako naging creative..." I explained.

Her smile widened then said, "It's perfect love! The timing was perfect! The feeling was perfect! You and I are perfect! Sobrang unexpected! I mean I know you love me pero akala ko you need more time eh..."

With all smiles, I replied, "You are perfect for me love! I just want to make sure na akin ka na. I mean I can't imagine myself without you. I want you to feel secure too love!"

"Sobra mo akong napasaya love... I'm excited to spend the rest of my life with you... Pero really hindi naman talaga need na bongga and tama sila simple basta galing sa puso love!" Charlie said.

"Well, syempre I want to give you the best pa din. Hayaan mo, I can make bawi everyday naman eh! Basta gusto ko masaya ka love! I'll do everything ng kaya ko for you..." I defended.

"Love... Alam mo naman pareho lang tayo na simple lang eh... I never asked for anything grand from you kasi ganun ka din sa akin. Kaya nga tayo bagay diba kasi nagclick tayo!" Charlie commented.

"Right! Kaya bago pa tayo tuluyang langgamin dito. Pumasok na tayo sa bahay nyo, gutom na din kasi ako eh..." I said.

She laughed and kissed my lips, "Ano bang gusto mong kainin? Magsabi ka lang soon to be wife ko..."

I smiled naughtily and said, "Ikaw na lang!"

"Eh ano pang hinihintay mo dyan?! Tara na!" She grin.

We both laughed and went inside their house.

Charlie's parents were in their living room when we arrived. We immediately payed respect.

"Saan ba kayo nanggaling ahh? Nawala kayong bigla..." Her dad inquired.

"May tinulungan lang na friend Pa..." Charlie replied.

"Kumain na ba kayo?" Her mom asked.

"Actually hindi pa nga Ma ehhh! Gutom na tong Bebe ko..." Charlie answered while looking at me with a teasing look.

"Oh eh buti na lang at nagtabi ako ng para sa inyo... Saglit at iinit ko..." Her mom advised.

"Naku tita, wag na po kayo mag-abala. Ako na po bahala..." I said immediately.
