Chapter Two:

(A/N: Italics writing will mean flashbacks or dreams. :D It will go back and forth between dreams/flashbacks and reality. Also sorry for my bad Spanish. I really don't know that much Spanish. Took it off of Google translate. Bare with me :))

Your POV:

"Desperta te, mija. Desperta te."

A soft hands lays on my shoulder as it gently rocks me out of my sleep.

A woman with short blond hair and glasses stares down at me with a loving smile. Something I was barely used to but as of right now it felt all too familiar and comforting.

"Buenos dias, mija. Time to get up," the woman says to me. Spanish. Definitely Spanish. How do I know Spanish? No way did I actually absorb something from high school.

I slowly lean up and give the woman a kiss, as if natural. She leaves my room in order to get ready for the day. I take the moment to look around me and notice that I wasn't in my room. Instead of a room filled with plain white walls, I was in a room filled with color and pictures up on the wall. Pictures of a little girl with the most pinchable cheeks I have ever seen. Her smile was something that would even make the Grinch smile during Christmas.

I move onto other pictures on the wall and desk. In some of the pictures I see her with the woman I saw earlier and some with a man, whom I assume is her father.

One picture caught my attention more than it should have. It was a picture of the little girl with another woman. Much younger than the woman from earlier, but much older than the little girl. This young woman must be closer to my age, possibly younger. Long waves of brown hair cascaded down her back as she hugged the little one. The smile upon the young woman's face said everything I needed to know about that very moment. Love.

A picture of all four of them makes me smile as I come across it. They look happy. Perfect actually.

I turn away when I hear a knock at the door.

"Mija, are you ready to go? We don't want to be late for their arrival now, do we?"

I quickly put on a random shirt and pants, hoping this is presentable.

"Estoy casi hecho," I shout. Seriously, how do I know a lick of Spanish?

I rush to the bathroom and wash my face. When I lift my face to the mirror, I gasp from shock. I was the little girl. I was the girl in the pictures. I was the woman's daughter. What the hell is going on?

I continue doing my regular routine, still looking at myself in the mirror. How is this happening? Who is the little girl? Why am I this little girl?

I finish up and make my way down to the woman, who is now my mother, and she smiles down on me.

"Por ultimo, Sofi. Su hermana esta esperando," the woman says as she rushes me towards the door.

I try to shield my eyes from the blinding rays of the sun as she opens the door, but it's no use. I'm blinded and the light takes hold of me.

"She's coming out of it," a voice sounds from far away.

"Come on, Alex, fight."
