D12-Animals

"Angel, what are we doing here?" asked Damian, as they entered the Gotham animal shelter.

"I know you miss Ace and Titus-" Marinette began.

"Mar-" Damian started.

"Shhh." Mari interrupted, "I know how much you loved them and you can never replace them. I'm not asking you to, but I think having a pet around would be a good responsibility for Eric. He is getting older and needs guidance."

Damian glared at his wife.

"You know what I mean." she scoffed, "Did you not have fun with Ace or Titus? Did you not enjoy having a protector when you were playing civilian? Eric should have a companion like that. Someone he can trust and rely on. Also, someone that will protect him whenever we are out, someone you can train to make sure Eric is protected and will help protect his sibling."

"I guess your right, Habibiti. We should get a pup for Eric to watch over him and his-" Damian froze as his eyes had began to roam the kennels. He turned to his wife who was smiling. "Are you?" he questioned, receiving a nod from his wife, "We'll need two then."

"Dami!" Marinette shouted.

"One for each. My father had one and I had one. They're Waynes. They'll both be protected." Damian insisted.

"They'll be the most protected children in Gotham." Mari sighed.

'As if they weren't already.'

Damian looked through the kennels and found a litter of great Danes. He chose two: a black one that reminded him of the late Titus and Ace to protect the newest addition and a blue one for Eric, to match his and his mother's blue eyes.
