Continuation of Presents

"Damian! This is completely unnecessary!" Marinette deemed.

"You like having your own space and I'm barely even here." Damian responded.

"But-" she tried to argue.

"You were about to be forced back into your parent's home and that room you showed me doesn't have enough room for your stuff." he countered.

"I know." Mari sighed, "It could have just gone into storage. It's not like there would be furniture to put in there, aside from my bed."

Damian just stared at his girlfriend. He knew she wanted to be independent and he wasn't trying to control her.

You wanted to put all of your fabric and sewing equipment into storage?" he questioned, already knowing the answer.

"No." Marinette pouted.

"I understand if this bothers you. If you feel more comfortable staying at one of your friends houses, that's fine. My place can be used as storage or your workspace." Damian stated.

"I-I didn't mean to make it seem like I was ungrateful, but it feels like we're moving too fast." Mari spoke, looking down in her lap.

"I know." Damian said, grabbing a hold of her hand, "It's not your fault that the person on 12B left their bathtub running all night. I'm just glad you weren't asleep on the couch."

"It is a bit scary." Marinette mumbled, "I-I've never lived with someone other then my parents before."

"It's okay, Angel." he said, "Like I said, the other room can be used as a workspace, It even has a lock on it. You can sleep elsewhere if you prefer. I'm usually out of here by 5am. You can come back and do whatever you want."

"Like grocery shopping?" Marinette asked.

"What?" he asked, confused.

"I looked in your fridge. How much take out do you eat?" Mari spoke.

"I can make breakfast." Damian suggested.

"What's breakfast?" she questioned.

"Eggs." he responded. Marinette nodded.

"What else?" she asked.

"Oatmeal." he spoke.

"Damian." she said in a finalizing tone.

"That's it." he said, making her sigh, "Hey! At least I haven't caused a fire or burnt down mu kitchen yet!"

Marinette smiled, "Okay. So I'm the live-in chef."

"No!" Damian stated, "Your priority is too take care of yourself until your place is renovated or you find yourself a new one."

"Says Mr. Eggs, over here." she giggled, as he rolled his eyes.

Damian got up from his spot at the kitchen island as the doorbell rang.

'Please. Don't let this be another surprise visit.' he begged, internally.

He opened the door to find Marinette and three of her friends.

"You have the key." he said, allowing them entrance.

"I forgot it." Marinette blushed, as she took a small box to her room.

"Mind helping me bring the heavy stuff up?" he asked the boys.

"We can all do that." Marinette called from her room.

"You and Alya can start unpacking and setting stuff up so there'll be less boxes in there. Don't you have a client?" he called from the doorway. Marinette squeaked as she remembered. With so much going on, she had forgotten that fact.
