Unexpected Turn of Events

Chapter 17

"You seemed so saddddd sooo I called up Arjun" she gave me a smirk "and he came running"

I stood there shooketh to the core.

"ARRJUNNNNN" I yelled

What? Don't look at me like that, I had so many shots 

He laughed. 

"Hi sweetheart"

"OKIEEE you twooo enjoyyy bai baiii" Maria screamed and went to her newfound boy toy.

"Let's dance?" Arjun asked me

I nodded.

The music was still very sensual and both of us were very close. My hands running up his biceps feeling all the toned muscles he was showing off in the tight shirt he was wearing. 

Things between me and Arjun have been perfect. He isnt demanding he isnt rude and he definitely isnt arrogant like someone else I know. 

NO JASMINE! why are you thinking about him? you are literally dancing with the man of your dreams right now.

Arjun grabbed my hand and spun me around on the dance floor. Our eyes never leaving each other. Honestly this has been the happiest Ive been in a while since I came back to india.

He pulled me closer to him and I couldnt wait to be in his arms again.

your going crazy jas! you just met this guy what is wrong with you?

I blocked my thoughts about how impractical this was and was waiting to feel his arms around me.

Suddenly, instead of feeling his arms around me I felt my butt sting in pain.

It all happened so quickly I didnt even get time to realize that I was on the floor. I look up to see Hardik looking down at me and Arjun looking at him with shock. 

The music stopped.

A crowd grew around us.

Women realizing Hardik's presence try to get his attention.

Pathetic.

"What the hell man?!" Arjun yelled 

Hardik turned to him "She's not worth your time man, I was just looking out for you. You dont know if she has STD's or not."

"What's wrong with you man? Leave her the fuck alone dude."

Arjun walks closer to Hardik sizing him up but Hardik doesnt back down either.

"Shes been a slut since college man, dont waste your time on her."

you are still sitting on the floor you idiot. Get up!

I got myself up and walked over to the boys.

"What is your probelmmmm ?"

"What is he talking about?" Arjun asks me

"He hates me. He liesss."

"She played the same game with me Arjun, in college I mean. This good girl act wont last long and you will realize that I'm right"

"Hes right" everyone turns their heads to the new voice.

"Shes been grinding on so many boys before you got here" she looks at me with disgust.

"I just got here sweetheart, soooo mind ya own damn business please and thank you"

"Yeah BITCH who the fuck are you dumb ass hoe walkin up in here thinkin shes the shit and all but Arjun they all lyin i dont know why you are spening time on their stooopid asses" Maria spoke. "I mean remember I kept telling you about her for sooo longg asking her to come out with us but she never did!!! They all just jeally that yall make such a cute couple anddd she my bestiii and I KNOW HER so back off!!"

Even drunk and angry this bitch never fails to amuse me.

If I wasnt this mad I would laugh.

"I woudn't bet on that if I  were you, she probably had men over all the time, maybe even trying to steal your man" The woman walks over to Hardik and holds onto his biceps. "I mean she did that to me"

"Girlllllll I dont even know who you are"

"YEAH! I have never seen you and I AM JAZZYS best frand!"

The woman laughed.

"Before you honey, I was her 'best friend' way back in college remember sweetheart.  You stole him away from me six years ago, and now youre back to do the same?"

"Maya..." I whispered.

Jithni jaaldi chaari thi uthni jaaldi uthar gayi

(translation: I sobered up just as fast as I got drunk)
