Carter ~

'YOU'RE LATE!' Kylie yelled as she came through the door 'DROP AND GIVE ME TWENTY!'

I rubbed my eyes again, pushing my hair back not believing Kylie made it to the gym before I did. A grin appeared on my face as my eyes landed on her curvaceous figure. She was all in black wearing a cropped sports bra and cycling shorts. Her rear end was always my weakness every time she worked out and she was slowly killing me each time.

'CARTER! GET ON THE FLOOR!' She shouted again making me snap out my thoughts

'I'll put you on the floor in a minute' I smartly said, earning a flustered look from her

'Right you're doing forty!' She upped the time

'I don't know who the hell put you in charge?' I walked closer to her

'You're late- I'm on time, you would've sure as hell did the same thing to me' she folded her arms as my eyes went to her breast

''You really think I'm that evil?' I put my hand on my chest

'Well the first gym lesson we had you threaten me to do twenty push ups'

'That would've been alright' I grinned

I watched as her hand nearly came connected to my face as I backed myself away before grabbing her hand.

'I'll give you twenty of something else if you ever dare to put your hands on me!' I warned her, hearing her heat beat loudly

Kylie ~

'Tell me reasons why I should take on this case?' I was sat on the chair as I rested my head on Carter's brief case for comfort

This was the only comfort I was getting since my ass was up early and as usual, every bone in my body ached.

'Your the only person apart from me that could solve this case very well' he said smiling

'So you do it then' I said

'I can't- well I could but that has to be postponed until I solve Issabella's case' he said

'But Carter-' I sat up, looking at him 'you still need to find one more of the suspects involved in Issabella's case and god knows how long that would take. Why don't you postpone her's and deal with Chloe's case since you have all the evidence that you need' I suggested

His face light up as if a bulb just burst as if he gained an idea. That soon faded as he walked over to my side of the table as he leaned on the edge of it, rubbing the side of his face.

'Only if Collins is on board with that idea' he ran a hand through his hair 'James is in charged with who gets what case and when the cases should be solved first' he explained

'Why don't you just tell him that you're sick and tired of this waiting- it's wasting your time, coming into work going over the information you already know when there's a case that can be solved right now' I shrugged my shoulders

This is tiring for me as well. This assistant thing is getting boring and I'm literally here doing the bare minimum. Carter is giving me an opportunity but I'm passing it up because I'm scared that it could go terribly wrong with this case- like I've watched a lot of case documentaries and courtroom scenes, but this one case is confusing and I'm not trying to let Carter down.

'It's not that easy Ky' he reminded

'Well-' I stood up from my chair 'I'm hungry, you wanna get something to eat?' I asked him

'Right behind you' he responded
