Kylie ~

Everything was going too well so far and we only had 10% of this court case to go through before Kayden finally got his justice and Hakeem finally got his name cleared, becoming a brand new man. I even forgot about Carter at this stage as all my energy was put on Hakeem getting his freedom.

My fingers were crossed tightly as they were about to announce the verdict. My whole body trembled for Hakeem as I stood beside him, waiting for the judge to make his decision.

'Mr Hakeem Williams, Under New York county Supreme Court, I find the defendant not guilty of the murder of Kayden Scott and any other accusations against Mr Williams- Case dismissed.'

'BABY! MY BABY!' I heard a loud cry, turning around to see an elderly woman that sported the same green eyes and Carmel skin only realising it was Hakeem's mother

Wow look at what thirteen years apart can do.

'Mom-'

'Boy I've missed you so much' she cried, hugging her son tightly

Taking a time to take in the moment the two had, I stood their smiling until I saw Ms Rita's eyes wander over to me.

My smile went upside down slightly, feeling uncomfortable with her presence, but I couldn't blame her since her and my mother really don't have a good friendship.

'Kylie.....' I made instant eye contact with her

It seemed genuine. She came away from her son for a minute to analyse me properly. Her eyes glossing with new tears as I looked over at Hakeem as he stood with an neutral smile and back at Ms Rita, before she engulfed me into a hug.

'Thank you......thank you so much Kylie' she cried through her sentence as I slowly hugged her back

'It's alright' I said back with a tear trickling down my cheek

Minutes after the small embrace and catching up with our apologies and memories, I felt a slight tap on my shoulder turning around to see Carter standing with a shy grin on his face as I turned my head right back around as if he wasn't anything important to me.

So he did come after all......

'Kylie!' He sounded off causing me to mentally roll my eyes as I sighed heavily in frustration

'Excuse me for a minute' I said to both Hakeem and His mother politely, walking away with Carter hot on my trail

'What do you want!' I semi yelled at him sternly, outside of the crowd in the courtroom

'Lower Your fucking tone' he demanded, making me stare harder at him frustratingly 'why are you so mad, what did I do?'

'What did you do?' I paused 'I'll tell you what you did Mr-I-Don't-know-how-to-pick-up-phone-calls-or-message-no-damn-more'

'Блядь........' he cursed in his language under his breath (Fuck)

'Nah nah now.......don't be cursing in your own damn language now......'

'Kylie, I couldn't pick up my phone while I was driving......'

'LIES!' I blurted out not satisfied with his excuse

Rolling his eyes 'look be pissed of however you like but at least I came along to see you win the case for your friend- you should be fucking grateful I came' he spat

No he didn't!

'This nigga.......' I muttered as his facial expression scared the hell out of me

'What was that?' He cocked his brow

'N-nothing.......' I shifted my head to the side not looking him in the eye

His hands snatched up both sides of my waist surprisingly, pulling me into him forcefully. Carter's touch has been something I've longed for weeks, sending an adrenaline of arousal throughout my body.......but I don't want him to know that, at least not here. He bought his face to the crook of my neck, feeling the warmest of his breath bounce on my skin, making my hairs stand up, threatening my lips to release a breathy moan.

'I'll fuck whatever you said underneath your breath right now, on this very spot. I don't care if people hear or see but fucking tempt me and I'll swear I won't go easy on you' he spoke in my ear causing my eyes to go wide in his shocking statement

'You know what-' I pulled back a bit as our faces were inches away from each other '-I'm very thankful that you came' I smiled

'Better.....' he kissed me on my lips before releasing his grip on me

'Umm......when did you slip in by the way?' I asked

'It must've been dead on the clock when the judge approached his desk and I got a good view of your round ass in that dress that I'll hopefully be ripping of tonight.......' he had a devilish smile on his face causing me to grow hot

'Wooooo somebody's frustrated' I laughed

'Not even tonight, is there a spare room where I can just fuck you now-'

'Carter!' I stopped him from talking any further

'I've missed you Ky, I can't help it'

'I've missed you too.....' I bought a hand to the side of his face, caressing the smoothness of his cheek as we both got lost in each other's eyes

A different feeling was now hitting me in the stomach- like the same feeling I felt when we were both boxing in the gym a couple months back. It was that same feeling of love I was receiving, and I could see in his blue eyes of his that he was having the same type of energy as well.

'I love you Carter.....' I finally said it not regretting it one bit

Before he could speak, his eyes got brighter which I've never seen that happen to him before as his smile grew bigger.

'I love you too Kylie.....'

There you have it, Kylie and Carter have exchanged I love you's.......What do you think about that???? (I really struggled writing this chapter as well)
