Will's funeral was nice but depressing. Roni's only been to one other funeral and she never wanted to go to one ever again. And even though she knows that Will is definitely not dead, but simply lost, she had to show support for his family.

After, the party walked up to Mr. Clarke with sad eyes. He turns around and his eyes immediately soften at seeing the children. "Oh, hey there. How are you holding up?" While he's talking, Dustin reaches over to take a cookie from the snack table.

"We're...in...mourning," Lucas speaks monotonously, trying to speak like he's sad. It doesn't.

Dustin looks down at the cookie "Man, these aren't real Nilla Wafers," He says with a mouth full of food. Roni hits him discreetly. He looks up and fakes at sad face.

Lucas and Mike look at him and then glance down at their shoes. "We were wondering if you had time to talk?"

"We have some questions," Lucas adds. They all nod. Soon Mr. Clarke and the rest of them head to a table to talk.

"So, you know how in Comos, Carl Sagan talks about other dimensions? Like, beyond our world?" Mike asks. Mr. Clarke nods.

"Yeah, sure. Theoretically," He folds his hands together.

"Right, theoretically," Mike agrees. Roni takes a cookie that Dustin had on a napkin, and put it in her mouth before he noticed. She frowns up at the taste. It was fake Nilla Wafers. It kind of tasted like a Nilla Wafer should but with a weird, tangy taste. She chews slowly with a disgusted look.

"So, theoretically, how do we travel there?" Lucas asks, he gestures slowly.

"You guys have been thinking about Hugh Everett's Many-Worlds Interpretation haven't you?" He smiled understandingly. Roni furrows her eyebrows, she doesn't remember reading that book in class. Or maybe they did but she didn't pay attention. Which is most likely. They boys glance between each other, she guessed that they didn't know what he was talking about either.

"Well, basically," He continues. "There are parallel universes. Just like our world, but just infinite variations of it. Which means there's a world out there where none of this tragic stuff ever happen." His brown eyes were soft and supportive.

Lucas shakes his head immediately. "Yeah, That's not what we're talking about."

"Oh."

"We were thinking of more of an evil dimension, like the Vale of Shadows. You know the Vale of Shadows?" Dustin reached for a cookie from his napkin but notices that it was empty. He glares at Roni, who smiles innocently.

They began a talk of things that Roni had no idea what it was about. She left the science talk to the boys, she just followed wherever they lead. Roni started to pay attention again when Mr. Clarke takes a cheap paper plate and draws on it.
