I slowly gathered the previously used dishes that everyone had left after our much needed dinner on the table. Carter had been adjusting the chairs as Liam helped her wipe the excess crumbs off the table. The night was beautiful, the dark clouds that reflect the night hovered over us ever so slowly and soothingly. I took in the beautiful view that I would only have for the next three months. I haven't spoken to Carter about the arrangements I had made. Even though I was aware, that she knew I wouldn't stay for long by the way she set up the guest room. Here is where it all begins, no matter what was to take place in these three months I have no choice but to leave it all behind and continue on with my irresponsible decision.

"Beautiful isn't it?" Carter spoke as she held my hand and raised it up as if to say 'victory'.

"Very!" Silent overtook us as we admired the exquisite lights that brought this wonderful place to life. "Do you think I'm insane?" I asked with curiosity. She was now facing me and tilting her head slightly as I earned myself the infamous eye roll.

"To be completely honest yes, yes, you are insane indeed, but in such a breath taking way." She stayed silent as we both took in the small breeze of wind that cooled the air. Listen, I don't know many people who are willing to pause and leave it all behind just to see what is really awaiting for them in this conflicting world. I mean I was scared of jumping on that plane from Colorado to England, and till this day I find myself thinking back on the day I left and if this was the 'right' thing to do."

"But it was, look where you stand. You have had the amazing opportunity of making a living and doing something you love unconditionally. What you love supports you well enough for you to be able to afford all of this and more. Look at the people you have encountered and been able to build special bonds with. These people are so accepting of you and support you as much as you support them." She looked out into the distance taking the present in. This only frightened me, if she wasn't content with her decision to leave yet, how long will it take me to accept that what I have done was the right choice.

"How is he?" she asked with kindness and curiosity.

"I'm not well aware of his condition or circumstances; Zayn spills things out about him unintentionally letting me know that he's well off, and happy, I hope. I don't blame Zayn for discussing things about him, they are good friends after all." I honestly miss my best friend and haven't contacted him since I have arrived here. I hope I get a chance to do so soon, because I promised him I would keep him up to date with all my changes and adventures.

"Did you forgive him?" The words flowed out of her lips with disgust and anger as I turned to meet her gaze, her facial expression was soft. Her eyebrows knitted together creating a wrinkle between them, waiting for my response.

Liam appeared from behind us, clearing his throat. "I don't mean to interrupt, I just want to say goodnight to both of you before I leave." We both turned around. Carter gave him a weak smile as I said goodnight. In the back of my head Carter's question was still being processed. Another part of me hoped that Liam didn't hear anything that was previously said.
