Marcy, Mal and Ellen looked up at the orphanage in fear, two of them because they knew how the buildings ran and Ellen because she'd never seen a good orphanage on television and that was where all of her experiences with them were based off of.

The trio went inside anyway.

Mr. Tesh Valbalm met them at the door. "Hello."

"Hello." Mal shook his hand. "We're the Changs."

"Pleased to meet you. Please. Come this way."

Marcy stopped in front of a little boy, who was reading a book. "Hi, sweetie."

He looked up, fearfully. "Hello."

She sat down at his table. "What are you reading?"

"Tamar and the Jaguar."

"That's a thick book."

"I don't know all the words." He blushed.

"That's okay. You will one day."

He smiled, thinking this lady was really nice.

Mal and Ellen wandered over. "Hi."

"Hello." The little boy hoped they weren't trying to adopt him when he liked Marcy.

"What's your name, honey?" Marcy asked.

"Rajah."

"That's such a strong name. Well, Rajah, this is my husband and our wife."

His mouth fell open. They were together?!

Marcy giggled. "Rajah's a genius. He's reading this big ole book all by himself."

"Wow." Mal was impressed. "Look at you."

"Aww!" Ellen nearly burst into tears.

Rajah was shocked these people were so nice. It wasn't that all of the people who came to see him were mean but it was something about these three. "You're nice."

"You think I'm nice?" Marcy did burst into tears.

Ellen hugged her. "He's so sweet!"

Mal was worried about Marcy's tears but was amused by Ellen's.

Rajah hugged both women. "Don't cry."

They hugged him hard.

Mal pulled him from their grasp. "Don't smother him!"

"Give our baby back!" Marcy snapped.

"He's not a baby! He's a big boy."

Forget that! Rajah wanted to be a baby if it meant he'd get love and affection.

"I know her hugs could cure cancer but Mommy will try to baby you until you're my age." Mal told him.

That sounded pretty good to Rajah.

"How old are you, Rajah?"

"Four."

"Well I guess you are little."

Rajah pointed to the girls.

Mal handed him over.

They snatched him up and began hugging and kissing him.

Mal chuckled.

"China is so much fun!" Marcy cheered.

"It is." Mal acknowledged.

It looked like a winter wonderland to Ellen. "It's so beautiful."

"Beautiful." Rajah repeated.
