Promise Me

As soon as I received the message from Peter I felt a panic attack coming up. I knew I had to be there for Peter, so I managed to calm myself down. After a bit of texting he told me someone did this to him. I ran to my computer and started looking for the guy until he said he didn't want him to go to jail, since it was his fault.

After a few minutes I found myself flying across the city. I had to bring Peter to Bruce before it was too late. I don't even know why I didn't want to tell him I was Tony Stark. Probably because that would change the relationship between us, since he is a fan and very polite.

I landed in front of the house where he lived and saw a boy with brown curls closing the door. He turned around, backing away when he saw me. The only thing I could look at was his face.

He had soft, brown curls and brown eyes. He had a black eye, a split lip, there was blood running down his face from a wound on his forehead. He stumbled and held a hand against his stomach.

"Mr. Old called me to pick you up, dang kid, that doesn't look good at all."

"Rude." He said in an attempt to brighten the mood.

I landed on the roof of the Avenger tower. Something inside me was telling me to find the man who did this to Peter, but something else said I had to keep my promise. I stepped inside the elevator and told Friday to go tot he medical bay. Peter laid in my arms, he had his eyes closed but I knew he was still awake.

The doors opened and I ran to the medical bay. Luckily Bruce was already sitting there doing tests on someone's blood. "Bruce! I need your help!" I walked into the room and laid Peter down on the table. He grunted and held his stomach with his hands.

Bruce turned around, looking confused at the kid. "Tony, who is this?" "This is Peter." At the mention of the kid's name his eyes grew bigger. He wanted to say something but I cut him off with a hand signal. "Mr. Old called me to get him after he texted that he has a possible internal bleeding."

I received a nod from Bruce and he got to work.

Le precious time skip

The familiar sound of heels walking through the halls made me feel more comfortable. I turned my head towards the sound and saw Pepper walking down the hallway. She stopped when she saw me. Her expression changed to worried and she sat down next to me.

"Why are you here? Is someone in the medical bay?" She asked, glancing around the halls looking for someone other than me. I nodded and sighed, placing my head in my hands. "Peter is in there." I said just above a whisper, but she seemed to hear it.

"Peter is in there?! Oh my God what happened?" Her voice became higher, like it always does when she is stressed. "He was beaten up by someone, he works in the hospital so he was scared to go there." I looked up at her again and saw her face darken.

"Who was it?" Placing a hand on her shoulder, I tried to calm her down before she would kill someone. "Pep, calm down. I promised not to go look for him so you won't either." After doubting for a while she nodded understandably.

After what seemed like hours Beuce finally came out of the room. "He will be okay, but he needs to rest. So please don't disturb him." I sighed in defeat and nodded. Giving a kind smile, he walked away.
