"James? You busy?" Ivan said as he knocked on his office door.
James looked up. "Sure. New case?" James said
"No I wish. There has been a problem with Nova's adoption." Ivan said
"It was suppose to be an easy feat. What happened?" James said
"I was trying set her up with a trust fund. But the bank said that I couldn't cause there was one already with her social security number and her birthday. The only difference is the last name is different." Ivan said
"What? We checked everything 14 years ago. Her mother's maiden name was Bateman and there was no living relatives." James said
"I know..maybe your son Ollie can help. He still works for the FBI right? We need all hands in..we still haven't even told her we saved all of her family heirlooms and photo albums in a storage building." Ivan said
"Yeah..we never went through the stuff." James said as he sent a text to his oldest son Ollie.
"Need your help. Come to Clearwater bring the kids and Millie too if you want."
"What's wrong"
"Got a open case that may have had missing pieces for the last 14 years old."
"On my way.."
James grabbed his keys. "Archives. This may be the missing link we have needed Ivan. Text Barton Wilson Maximoff." He said as they left his office.
He knocked on Joe's office door. "Rogers call your wife we having dinner at my house. We need all eyes and hands on deck." James said
"Kids?" Ivan said
"Definitely. They are young and have better eyes.." James said
"Kids. Meet us at the Barnes in 30. Be prepared to be up for awhile."
They sent out as a group text. Julie and Rebecca also got a text from James. They were able to check out Nova's family case box from the archives.
Ivan got the other boxes from the storage building while James picked up some chinese. Everyone but Colton and Gabi was at the Barnes' house. They were out of town with her family.
"What's going on James honey." Winnie said as he sat the food down.
"We need all hands and eyes on deck." James said as Ollie and his family came in.
"Ollie? Why are you here?" Winnie said as Brandon and his wife came in.
"Did I miss something?" Bucky said when he saw his two older brothers and Rebecca.
"Ruthie is on her way." Becca said
"I know.." James said
"What do you need us to do?" Natasha said
"Earlier today I tried to set up a trust fund for Nova. Since the adoption court date is next week. But it appears that she already has one." Ivan said
Everyone looked at her. "That can't be right.." Nova said
"Well that's why I called Becca and Julie and they confirmed it. But the bank wouldn't let us know who set it up. And the difference is the last name was different. But they had your correct birthday and social security number." Ivan said
"So what does this mean?" Sam said
"It means..that quite possibly her mother may have changed her name." Ollie said
"Changed her name?" Nova said
"Its a possibility. Or someone got a hold of your information and used it." Ollie said
