Two days later since Ivan was the lead detective on Nova's family case. He sent the text to the former governor and his wife.
"Hey we need to meet with the whole family. That includes Cameron and Carter."
"Is everything okay? Did my other grandson do something?' -Margaret
"No..we will explain everything. When is a good time for you all?"
"This afternoon at 5." -Edward
"Sounds good."
Ivan looked at the rest of the team. "This afternoon at 5." He said
"Oh..that's not gonna work for me." Bucky said
"What..why?" Nova said
"I have plans with Lydia. We have to be in Atlanta with her dad." Bucky said
Nova looked down. "Its fine. She is more important." Nova whispered as she went up to the room she was staying in at the Romanoffs.
Bucky went after her. "Nova wait." He said
When he walked into her room he saw her wiping tears. "Nova I..hey look at me. Its gonna be okay. You can just call me later." He said as he tried to wipe her tears.
"Dont worry about it. I dont need you. Im use to doing things on my own." She said as she walked out.
"Nova.." he said as he sat on her bed.
She looked at Ivan when she got downstairs. "Which one is the Marcum house so I know where to go later?"
"Its across the street from us. Their sons live on either side of them." James said
"Thanks." She said as she walked out.
Bucky came downstairs and sat on the stairs. "James.." James said
"I know Im a horrible person. I have a wrestling match." He said when he saw the time then he left.
Around 5PM Ollie James and Ivan rang the door bell. Nova was sitting in her car waiting alone while she waited for James to text her. Edward and Margaret let them in.
"Thats alot of stuff. What is this about?" Edward said as they sat it on the dining room table.
"We want to go ahead and sincerely apologize to you all." Ivan said
Ollie pulled out a picture of their daughter. "Do you recongize this girl?" Ollie said
"Thats Jocelyn. Our daughter.." Edward said
Ollie laid out the two different Georgia State IDs and the letter. Margaret picked up the letter as Edward and her sons picked up the other papers.
"She changed her last name after she left." Cameron said (Mason's dad)
"Yeah..here is the letter where she changed her whole name." Margaret said as she handed it to Cameron.
Ollie sighed. "14 years ago Ivan and his team worked a homicide investigation. Dad put in his best efforts with all the warrants he could get..at the time they had no idea..that she was a Marcum." Ollie said as he laid out the crime scene photos.
He played the 911 call. Colton was sitting next to his dad Carter. "Nova.." he said
"My grand baby...where is she?' Margaret said
James walked her in. "Oh my god..you look just like her.." Edward said
She forced a smile. "I was going to adopt her. She has been in the system since she was 4. We couldn't find any next to kin. So for that we are very sorry." Ivan said
