Everyone was at Parkland Academy. It was the first day of senior year. As always since junior year the Barnes possee was at Bucky's truck.
"Where is Nova?" Bucky said
"She is coming. She is just a little nervous." Colton said
"Why?" Wanda said
Just then her red Audi roared through the parking lot. She got her Nos and bag out when she rounded her bumper she lit up her cigarette.
"Morning Nova.." Bucky said
"Yeah morning." She said as she sat beside him on his tail gate.
"Grandma got rid of all my flannels and band t shirts." She said as she took a puff.
"Oh..I was going to say you look different this morning." Natasha said
Another truck pulled in beside Colton's. Noah Fitz another popular student who gave Nova hell stepped out.
"What the hell Barnes you banging trailer park again? Or are you and Ms Jacobs sharing her?" Noah said
"What did you just say?" Bucky said as he hopped off his tailgate.
"I asked if you were banging trailer trash again." Noah said
"Don't you ever call her that again." Bucky said in a stern tone.
"Buck let it go." Nova whispered
"Dude..come on I get she was your baby mama. But seriously no need to keep banging her." Noah said
Bucky hauled off and punched him. "Don't you talk about our daughter. Don't call her trailer park or trailer trash." He said
Noah punched back which only made Bucky punched back. The football coach Mr Davidson blew his whistle.
"Boys!" He yelled as Colton pulled Bucky off Noah.
"Principal's office now." Coach Davidson said
Bucky grabbed his stuff. Nova looked at him "I told you.." she whispered
He kissed her forehead. "Don't.." he whispered then kissed Lydia's cheek.
"Barnes now." Coach Davidson said
Bucky followed Coach Davidson and Noah. Colton hugged Nova. "We aren't going to let people mess with you anymore." He said as he held his cousin's face.
"But a fight Colt?' She said
"He pushed Bucky's buttons." Sam said
In the principal's office the nurse gave Bucky an ice pack for his eye.
"First day of school boys. Class hasn't even started." Fury said
"He shouldn't of been harassing me about Nova. Or bringing up my daughter." Bucky said
"Nova is trailer trash. Remember what you did to her." Noah said
"Mr Fitz. I have you know that Nova found out over the summer she is a member of the Marcum family. She is the daughter of Jocelyn Marcum her parents are Margaret and Edward Marcum. You both are getting off with a warning today. No more fights." Fury said
"She is a Marcum. Man Mason is probably shitting himself in jail right now." Noah said as he left the office.
The rest of the morning went by smoothly. Everybody was talking about how Nova wasn't trailer park after all. While they were all in the cafeteria. The guidiance counselor and her secretary came in with navy blue envelopes with silver writing on them.
They passed them out to all seniors. Nova opened it up to see their first invitation of the year.

"Wow.." she whispered with wide eyes.
Bucky saw her face after he read his. He leaned over to her "You okay?" He whispered
"A dress code of colors?' She said
"Get use to it darlin.." he said as they all got up to leave the cafeteria.
She gave her invitation to Margaret when she got home.
"We will go this weekend baby to find you what you need." Margaret said when she read it.
"Okay. Do I have to wear a dress?" She said
"Yes you do. Heels diamonds clutches. These bracelets need to go sweetheart." Margaret said
She gasped when she saw her scars. "Nova Reign.." Margaret said
Nova looked down just as Edward came in. "Look at this Ed. We need to get her in therapy. This is Jocelyn's fault! Keeping her from us the ones who could keep her safe!" Margaret yelled through tears.
Edward moved to reveal all of her friends and Colton. Bucky walked over to her. He saw her wrists and shook his head.
"This! This is why you refused to take them in the Bahamas! Nova!" Bucky yelled as his eyes welled with tears.
She pulled her wrists away and ran upstairs and slammed her door.
