inane devastation
kilometres of clearcut
stillness
silence
where winds should filter
and whistle through dense pine
the kind one gets lost in
not here
i am a giant to these treesabandoned
used and left discarded
a car rusts beside the logging road
windows shattered
doors agape
– a scabrous metal body
shining noisily
as if occupants escaped
only to be vaporized
when the explosion camecast aside
a pink Coleman cooler
sun bleached
without the shade to slow it's
ignominious decline
it's only contribution
to gather water for wandering wildlife
like the car
a monument to man's dominionbefore the great revolution
small saplings grew here
amongst their majestic elders
grizzly rubbed their shoulders
against the tough textured bark
and Mule deer avoided the hunter's arrow
now these saplings grow
orphaned without shelter
foundlings without protection
like children abandoned on a remote island
strenuously battling to endure
and survive the harsh realitydesolation
of mind and nature
thoughtless misuse of mother's wealth
a return to chaos beyond Gaia
this Olympian rape
casting Iapetos into Tartarus
man's dominion
leads to this place~gtk
