8 years later...

The clock alarm had been ringing for 5 minutes already, and the man asleep in the room was resisting getting up, it was hard for him cause he loved to sleep and get up late but he had to do it, prepare breakfast for the twins, wake them up and help them to change their clothes each one, give them their breakfast and take them to school, he sighed, before all of that he has to shower and change himself to go to work.

Knowing that there was nothing left to do in his bed, he got up slowly and dragged his feet to the bathroom, he turned on the hot water and after taking off his pajamas he got in the shower, he could not take more than 5 minutes cause the time was against him, he rinsed quickly, dry his body and hair fast, put his underwear and suit and adjust his shoes, he take at look to himself in the mirror to accommodate and look presentable, once ready he get off the room and went to the kitchen.

He made hotcakes, scrambled eggs, and put two bowls of cereal on the continental table in the kitchen, he made a cup of coffee without sugar for himself and took two juices from the fridge for the kids, he took a fast look at the clock and sighed with relief, he was good over time, the only things left to do were wake the kids up, dressed them and give them their breakfast, so, he went to the kids bedroom and approached slowly to his little girl's bed.

"Princess wake up, come on Meg, it's time for school, little girl" After whispering those words, Meg opened her little eyes and smiled at him.

"Morning, Baba, I'm awake, look" She pointed to her little eyes opening them widely for her Baba to see that she was very awake.

"Morning to you too, come on, we have to put on your uniform, breakfast is ready, I made hotcakes" The girl got up and ran to the bathroom to wash her little face. Zayn then approaches Aahil's bed, knowing that this is going to be a dare, he has to deal with him every morning, and he still wonders why his kid had to inherit his bad awakening.

"Champion, it's time to get up" he picked him up softly by the hands.

"Nooo"

"Yes"

"No, Baba, I don't want to"

"Aahil Jason Malik, if you don't get up right now, young boy, there will not be television for this day"

"I'm awake... I'm awake... I'm awake" the boy screams startled.

Zayn got out of the room to let them change, two weeks ago they explained to him that they were already 9 and were able to change on their own, even if Meg would call him for help to do her hair and Aahil for help to accommodate his pant and shirt, it was fun for him, and he was proud that his kids wanted a bit of independence.

He went to the kitchen again and waited for the kids. They got down jumping down the stairs with little jumps that Aahil won making his sister pout adorably in defeat.

"Baba, help me," the little girl asked with two hair ties in her hand.

"Course, love"

He got near her and started to do two braids with a little bit of struggle because her curls would not allow good handling. Once done, he kissed her forehead and turned around to help Aahil with his uniform.

He gave them their breakfast and sent them to brush their teeth once finished, he did the same in his bathroom. When he finished, the kids were already at the front door with their bags on, he took his keys and wallet and got out to the Van, he helped the kids to get in, so they wouldn't fall, and he climbed into the driver's seat and headed to school.
