DAMON POV

"Get them out of here...NOW." I barked at Angelo and Gio as I surveyed the area. "And so help me God if anything happens to Ghost..." I said in a deadly tone.

"Got it." Gio said seriously as he carefully picked up Ghost and began walking away from the wreckage. I reached in my waistband and grabbed my pistol as I cautiously began walking towards the parking structure.

"I'm coming with you." Rebel said sternly as she quickly grabbed her own glock from her bag and followed me quickly. From the look on her face, I doubt that she'd take no for an answer.

I simply nodded and continued to walk towards what was left of the structure while Angelo and Gio got the twins and my love away to a safe distance.

I looked at Rebel as I nodded my head towards the left, signaling her to scope out that side while I handle the right. She nodded once before straightening her arms, readying her weapon in case anything happens. I slowly placed one foot in front of the other, my senses on high alert as cracking of the fire filled the air.

I looked around the structure, leaned against the wall before I turned the corner. I quickly turned and walked through the archway gun first, and let out a breath as I saw an empty stretch of pavement.

"Clear." I yelled out to Rebel as I put my pistol back in its rightful place.

"Clear." Rebel grunted as she walked back over to me.

"I think I saw an extinguisher on the plane. Maybe whoever did this left somethin' behind?" Rebel said as she looked at me with her eyebrow raised.

"Doubt anything survived this explosion." I said as I looked at the flames in front of me.

"You never know, after all, we survived." Rebel said before quickly turning around and walking away.

I furrowed my eyebrows as my eyes scanned the area. Ghost is meticulous, cautious, and organized. She would have never thought this could have happened. She has exit strategies, back up plans for the contingency plans. I'm not sure what is more surprising, the fact that someone had the balls to try and kill her and her crew, or the fact that she didn't see this coming until the last second.

I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket, and furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. The only people who ever contact this phone are standing a few hundred feet behind me.

I reached into my pocket and grabbed my iPhone, and wasn't surprised when I saw a blocked number appear on my screen. I let it ring for a moment before finally caving into my curiosity and answering it. I put the phone to my ear, listening for the mystery caller on the other end.

"Did they like the little surprise I left them?" A voice on the other end said, making me furrow my eyebrows. The man or woman on the other end was using a device to cover their voice, making it sound distorted and unrecognizable.

"What do you want." I stated, not bothering to ask who this was. I already knew that if they're disguising their voice, there's not a chance in hell they'd tell me who they were.

"Now, now, Nicholas Blanc, who says I want something?" The voice said, making me raise my eyebrow in curiosity. Nicholas Grey was an alias I had Angelo set me up with a few years ago for a more public job I was handling. "Tell me Nicholas, do you really know who you're in love with?" The voice said on the other line.

"Who says I'm in love with anyone?"I scoffed, sounding calm and collected.

"Are you trying to convince me, or yourself?" The voice said, even though it was distorted, I sensed a hint of amusement from the other end of the line.

A moment of silence passed before my phone vibrated in my hand. I quickly removed the phone to see that I recieved a series of text messages from an unknown number. I quickly opened them, and clenched my jaw to see that someone sent me pictures... all of them containing Ghost and I. One of them was from our getaway in California, and Ghost is pictured standing out of the sunroof while I was driving. There were a few pictures from Columbia, showing me opening Ghost's door for her, and driving away while she shot me a sly smile. The remaining photographs made my blood boil. They were all of us on the tarmac. It showed me and Ghost looking at each other as we exited the plane... and the last one was me holding her face between my hands after the bomb detonated. I took a deep breath before placing the phone back to my ear once more.

"You're playing a dangerous game sending me these." I said as I tried my hardest not to give away that this fucker has gotten to me. I quickly turned around to see where the photo was taken, and looked over to the vantage point he had when he took the photograph. It was a freeway off in the distance, he must have had some high tech equipment to catch a picture from that distance.

"Actually Mr. Blanc, I believe you're the one who's playing with fire here." The voice said on the other line.

"Do you even know anything about this woman? About her past, or even her real name?" The voice said, making me grit my teeth.

"Oh, you don't. How... interesting." The voice said before chuckling slightly.

"I think it would be best for both of you if you kept your distance from her, don't you agree?" The voice said, making me clench my jaw.

"I'd hate to see what would happen to her if you don't." The voice said on the other line.

"You have no idea who you're messing with, do you?" I said as I looked over to where Ghost was laying with the rest of the crew. I made eye contact with Rebel as I watched her walk over to me with an extinguisher in hand.

"Unlike you, I know exactly who she is." The voice said calmly.

"I wasn't talking about her." I said, my voice laced with anger, before I hung up the phone, and placed it in my pocket.
