"He's paying for all three of us!! Just hand him the check!!" I heard Sahana say to the waiter.

My eyes shot open and turned my head to look up at her, gobsmacked. Then, she came up to me, "I'll see you neighbor." she patted my shoulder and winked at me.

My heart jumped.

"Let's go girls." My eyes followed them until they left the café.  I mouthed a 'wah', being stunned and unable to say anything after her comment.

I turned to look at Kai who was laughing his ass off.

"Ahahaha, you gotta pay for all three of them hahaha," I could see his eyes slowly tearing up. I slightly got up from my seat and extended an arm to slap his head. "Shut up," I said sulking. "Ouch," Kai rubbed his head.

Kai later ordered his breakfast, giving me half of his cinnamon roll when it came. It looked too good so I was practically obliged to eat it.

And then I ordered a chai.

Don't judge me.

"Ok, let's go now. Check please!" I asked the waiter. Not to my surprise, the waiter gave me 2 checks. "Wait, I'll pay for our check, I basically was the only one eating," Kai said sliding our check towards him.

"Haha, you are practically always broke, didn't you see how empty your fridge was?" I chuckled bringing the check back to me.

Kai crossed his arms, acting offended, "Uh, excuse me, but I think I am not always broke. Remember, a week ago I paid for both of our dinners, and that was expensive!" I started to laugh a little harder, "First of all, last week's dinner was fast food. And it was $15.00"

Kai was cornered.

"Psh, whatever. But I am NOT broke! Don't ever call me that again!!" I put my hands up, "Ok, ok I'm sorry. I won't call you broke again, hehe."

"That's right," Kai tried to sound tough. "Haha, I'm happy to have such entertainment during a gloomy morning." I smiled swinging my arm around Kai's shoulder while exiting the café.

"Thank you! Have a great day!" we both said to the workers and they said the same.

"So now that we had breakfast, what should we do now?" Kai asked. "Hm, I'm not sure. Maybe, chill at the park? We took our drinks to go, so we can just sip them while talking and embrace the wonderful place that is New York City." I smiled looking up at the sky. "You mean exactly what we did in the café? Except just outside now?" Kai asked unamused.

"Yup!" I smiled, "And why are you the one acting all gloomy now? Are we playing the opposite roles now?" I ruffled his hair. "Ah never!! I am the jolly one out of us two, and it will always be that way!!" he jokingly said. "Haha, that's the spirit!" I squeezed him sideways. "Off to the park we go!" we both said in unison, pointing somewhere like we were superheroes.

Hugesmiles were on our faces as we acted like five-year-olds. We laughed about dumb things while walking to the park. Who knows what we will do once we get there?

Hopefully, either of us won't get stuck on a slide or something.

Once we reached there, I looked for a bench for both of us to settle on, but they all were full.
