The more you weigh the harder you are to kidnap. Stay safe, eat cake.

Sahana P.O.V.

I finally reached work, still reminiscing the encounter with Kai and my keys.

"WHERE. THE. HELL. WERE. YOU???" I plugged my ears as Tara loudly hissed at me. "I'm sorry ok, something happened this morning." Tara's expression immediately changed into worry, "Oh, did something happen? Are you ok?" she said placing her hand on my shoulder, reminding me of the same actions Jai had done.

A shiver went down my spine, forming goosebumps all over my body. I placed my hand over Tara's and moved it from side to side, motioning that I want her to rub me, so I could retain the warmth in my body.

"Why is it so chilly in the office." I pouted, making up some dumb excuse.

Tara caught on and I removed my hand as she began rubbing the side of my arm and traveled down to my back. "You good now?" she asked, "My arm is getting tired, you idiot."

I whined as she took her hand off and started stretching her arm. I snickered. "hehe sorry, thank you, you're the besttt." I blew a kiss to her and she caught it, then threw it to the ground.

I put a hand to my heart, "I can't believe you did that to my kiss." saying with a hurt expression.

"That's what you get for coming in late! Now, let's get to work! And please change your clothes!!" Tara grabbed my arm and started dragging me to the depths of my hell.

My brain was about to explode, as I exited the room of my last meeting. Ever since I stepped foot into the office (after the whole back rub session), I have been going to meetings nonstop. It's been the most hectic in the office recently because we are launching soon, and that's what all the meetings were for.

A lot of discussing about: which stores the products should be available in, the design of the products, pricing, and so on.

"Tara, hold me. I don't think I know how to walk anymore." I reached for her shoulder but instead touched a wall and became immediately confused.

Staring at the wall I heard,

"I'm on your right, Sherlock."

I turned to see the angel I was seeking, "Tara... it's really you. I was really about to convince myself that you were this wall." I said still touching it.

"Oh my god, get yourself together!! It's only 12:45, we still have a shit ton of things to do. The C.E.O. of B.R.L. Beauty wants lunch with you again, you have some paperwork to fill out regarding the finalization of all the products, and so many other things I can't list because my mouth will start hurting. Jeez, this list is long." Tara sighed as she continued to scroll through the several activities I am yet to do.

"Can we please take a tiny break? Pleasee," I gestured with my fingers, having the tiniest space between them. Thankfully, she nodded, "Fine, I need one too anyways. I still can't get over your schedule, it's giving me a headache."

I smiled, "Thank yo-"

Then Tara interrupted, "AFTER you have lunch with the C.E.O." she smirked.

Immediately my smile turned into a frown, "I hate you, you know that right. I hate you so much." I walked past her not even looking back and could hear her running after me.

"Aw come on Sahana, it's just lunch, isn't eating food all you like to do??"

Since there are several restaurants near my office, it didn't take me long to reach where I was planning to meet up with the C.E.O. Since last time it was my choice of getting Thai food, she decided on Mexican, and I gladly agreed.

I opened the door into the restaurant and was hit by the aroma of all the food that was being made, making me grin in pleasure.

"Sahana!" I turned to where my name was being called and saw her. I waved while walking towards her, "Hi Blaire! How are you?" asking as I sat down. "Great! I actually have some news for you," she continued, "The SEC finally finished filing a prospectus for us! Ah, I'm so happy." She sighed in relief.

"Oh my god, that's great! Yeah, they do take some work. Even though it's for our business it isn't just us that are actually doing the hard work. The other people who are all helping us, to ensure we make good investment choices for our business, should also take a large amount of credit as well," I explained.

"When I got my prospectus filed because our company decided we needed more money to grow, I took all the people out to celebrate their hard work. In my mind, they absolutely deserved it. Though a simple dinner is not enough to recognize the difficult tasks they deal with every day, I would do anything for them to be valued for their successes. And I think they would feel the same way too."

"So, I think you should do something like that for the people who did yours." I smiled, taking her hand.

Blaire grinned back, "Yeah of course. It wouldn't be right if I didn't. And you HAVE to come." she chuckled.

I smiled, "Of course Blaire, I wouldn't miss it."

"But besides you, I already have some people in mind." She continued.

"Oh really? Who?" I wondered, "Maybe I might know them."

"There's an investment banker who helped put together the prospectus for us. We met a couple of times during meetings with others to discuss about it, but I was just so busy after and I forgot his name. Plus I lost his business card." she awkwardly laughed, "But I am pretty sure it started with a J."

"Was it Jake?"

 "John?"

"I don't know, I'll figure it out." She laughed after giving up.

We finished discussing more about our companies and potentially a future partnership, then I began heading out.

While walking back to the building my phone buzzed.

Cassia: Hey can we meet up after you're finished with work?

Cassia: I have to tell you smth.
