I ran across the field, hand in hand with my best friend. Today was the only day he was free and I attend on making the day great.
We had just finished a fresh whip of ice cream and we were hyper. We hadn't done this in forever...
We soon became tired and fell straight to the ground laughing.
"We hadn't done this in forever," Leo laughed.
"Agreed. I wanna do this forever," I laughed as we locked eyes. He was so full of wonder. I can't believe I ended up with a friend like him. And if I was honest, he was really cute.

We were doing nothing but just looking up at the cloudy sky.
"Today is beautiful," I say, breaking the silence.
"I've seen prettier," he said looking at me.
"Like what?" I asked. My heart was beating as I still looked at the sky.
"Like you!" He exclaimed, grabbing me. I laughed as we rolled down the hill together, my grip on him tight.
"I'm pretty?" I asked as we stopped rolling at the bottom of the hill.
"The prettiest I've ever seen," he laughed. I felt my cheeks heat up as I began to blush. His arms were still wrapped around my waist from him holding me while we took a tumble down the hill.
"Thanks," I said nervously. I didn't know what to say or do.
Just two best friends, holding each other.
"What time is it?" Leo asked as he got up. I started to cool down as he let go of me and checked the time on his phone.
"We have 3 hours left," he smiled as he looked at me.
"What do you wanna do?" I asked him as he stood up.
"Whatever you wanna do princess," he said as he held his hand out for me. I began to blush again as I grabbed his hand.
"I just wanna sleep," I said as I looked out into the grass.
"Deal," he said. He took my hand and ran as fast as he can as he dragged me behind him, laughing.
We ran all the way to my house and I was out of breath.
"I need... a break..." I said as in between breaths.
"Good, you said you needed a nap," he said as we walked into my house.
My mom wasn't home so I had the whole house to myself and Leo.
I just quickly put my hair into a ponytail and got under the covers, in bed. Soon enough, Leo came in.
"Mind if I join?" He asked. I made a muffled sound as an agreement. Honestly, it was normal as we used to do this all the time as kids.
"Are you comfortable?" Leo asked as he held me. That was new, he never held me like that. I nodded my head in pleasure.
"You wanna know something Y/n?" Leo asked as he placed his chin on my head.
"What?" I asked as I looked up at him.
"I've liked you ever since we were 5," Leo confessed. I felt a lump in my throat and my heart racing again.
"You mean, like like?" I asked, using my childish antics.
He laughed. "Yes Y/n, I like like you," Leo said again. I smiled widely as I knew I had to confess now.
"I like like you too Leo," I said as I turned around and hugged him.
"Really?" He asked as he looked down at me. I just nodded my head in response and he brought me into a tight hug.
