"S-Stop!" The King's voice booms through the screen.
I currently have tendrils of emerald from my ring, wrapped tightly around the ship. I must have looked crazy right now- one girl taking on a Braxi battleship.
"I will not let you take her Citozen!"
"She is not loved enough! Rageet will-"
"Stop," I calm voice interrupts.
I am confused. The view backs up to allow a bigger picture. The Queen Braxi, Malwey, Parflax's mother sits on her throne beside the King.
Citozen looks at his wife irritably. "Emerald Star. Are you saying you love this girl?"
"She's my protege, my partner. Of course I do!"
The Queen looks at the King with a gentle smile. He sighs, rolls his eyes and nods to something. I release the ship and step back onto the bridge.
When the Braxi ship reconnects, the shaft opens and the guards push Misty onto the floor on the bridge. The shaft closes momentarily.
Tim helps Misty up and I tell Captain Atom to take them back to the warehouse.
When the shaft re-opens Queen Malwey walks onto the bridge. She smiles at me. "Hello, Hana," she says quietly. With her are two servants and two guards.
"Queen," I say, nodding my head.
"Who is this?" She asks, looking at Nightwing.
"My boyfriend," I reply, holding his hand.
"Good. The love between you is strong."
She looks over my shoulder at the retreating forms of Nathaniel, Misty and Tim.
"Citozen's love senses are weak. I do sense love between the two," she states. Nightwing and I discreetly hi-five, which makes the Queen smile.
"I bare bad new, unfortunately," she says.
"And that is?"
"On our way here, we encountered a large ship."
"Race?"
"I know Mongul is at the helm."
A chill runs down my spine at the mention of Mongul, a long-time enemy of the Green Lantern Corps.
"War world," I whisper. She nods.
"We also hear something that might interest you."
"Yes?"
"He is in league with Red Lantern Jenko."
