(f/n) was basically a therapist. whenever asahi would have small anxiety attacks, she was there for him, she gave great advice and she knew how to calm him down.

asahi's anxiety wasn't too bad but he tends to think negatively. especially with volleyball. (f/n) understood how volleyball was so important to him, so she didn't mind if he couldn't take time off for dates.

sometimes she would wait for his practice to end so they could walk home together. since nationals were getting closer, their time was limited even more.

"so how was practice today?" (f/n) said as she held hands with the tall boy.

"my spikes kept getting blocked from tsukishima. he's too good" asahi said as he sighed.

"well hey, you've got a strong teammate you can count on." (f/n) smiled. "have you talked to coach ukai yet? maybe he has some advice." she continued.

"no he was busy talking to hinata and kageyama" the wing spiker said sadly.

"well why don't we go to sakanoshita and ask him now? i'll get you a meat bun while we're there." (f/n) starting swinging their hands.

the two teens walked into the store and saw the familiar blonde.

"oh hey, what's up kiddos?" ukai said as he was sweeping the store.

"asahi has some questions for you. i can watch the store while you're talking." the girl said.

(f/n)'s family was very close to ukai's family so she would watch the store occasionally since ukai was busy coaching the team.

"ah okay thank you" the blonde said. the two of them headed to the back and (f/n) put on an apron.

she started restocking some items and checking some customers out. it was rather slow luckily. about 30 minutes later the boys came out from the back.

"heyyyy i've never really seen you. did you start working here recently?" an unfamiliar guy struck up a conversation.

"uh no i'm just helping out the family haha. your total will be 9.78" (f/n) said uncomfortably.

"okay what time do you get off? i'll take you somewhere to eat." the guy smirked and started touching the girls delicate hands.

"uhm-"

"i think she's good and-" before asahi could finish his sentence the random guy threw his money on the counter and sprinted out.

"was my face that scary?" asahi whined.

the (h/c) girl giggled and took off her apron.

"a little bit."

"alright brats go home and eat. i don't want your parents worrying about you." ukai said.

"can i have a meat bun pweaseee? i watched the store for you." (f/n) said with puppy eyes.

"i was gonna give them to you anyways. thank you." ukai laughed and ruffled her hair.

the two teens walked out the store with meat buns in their hands. they held hands once again and started swinging them.

"i hope he was able to help you." the girl smiled.

"yeah thank you for suggesting" asahi pat her head. he brought his hand down to her cheeks and leaned in to kiss.

after pulling away his face was bright red and he looked away.

(f/n) giggled and continued walking.

time skip to one of their games

"oh my god what if i mess up a serve and then it's over. our three years of volleyball and we can't even make it to nationals. me, the ace, messes up the whole-" asahi started to panic.

"hey hey, you're okay. your serves have been improving a lot recently, sometimes noya can't receive them, remember? you will be okay, i know you will be okay. breathe. i'll be watching from the stands where you can see me." (f/n) gave a little pep talk to her big boyfriend. [HEY HEY HEY]

after a few deep breaths, asahi had calmed down and shook off his anxiety. [i wish i can do that lol]

"thank you, (f/n)." he said with a big smile. then hinata started to ramble.

"IM SO NERVOUS" he yelled

"watching him makes me nervous." asahi said as he started to feel his anxiety again.

"NEGATIVITY, BEGONE" suga stepped in and stabbed his ribs.

"s-suga that hurts" asahi teared up.

(f/n) giggled and started walking towards the stands. "good luck love, i know you can do it"

the ace did a wonderful job carrying on his position. you could tell that he was the ace, even if you didn't even know the team. they had won the game and the team started to head back to the hotel.

"asahi! i knew you could do it." (f/n) ran up to her boyfriend and jumped into his arms.

the ace caught her and laughed.

"thank you, it's all thanks to you" he squeezed her into a tight hug.

extended ending

"u-uhm (f/n)-chan, can we let go now? e-everyone's looking at us" asahi said with a red face.

"you're so shy geez" she said as she loosened her grip. she looked at the team and looked back at her boyfriend, and smirked.

"I LOVE YOU ASAHI" she screamed before kissing him. his face turned bright red and hid his face in his hands.

"UWOOOOOOO" hinata roared.

"daichi! he didn't say 'i love you' back! may i have permission to beat him up?" suga said with a charming smile.

"you may" daichi nodded.
