it's pretty hard to be trapped in between the most popular boys in school when you just want to take pictures for the school newspaper.

AIMOTO IORI HAS NEVER BEEN A SOCIABLE PERSON.
To be honest, she really preferred staying behind-the-scenes, editing articles and running the advice column happily. Come second year, she didn't think she'd be doing anything different.
Until Yamada Daisuke quit Inarizaki High School's newspaper club a week before school began.
Now, this wouldn't have been a big deal if it weren't for the fact that Yamada Daisuke was the sports writer. The guy who went to all the games, all the events, everything sports related and reported back on it.
That included the boys' volleyball club. It also included the famous Miya twins, the quote "idols" of the school. The only reason the club hadn't shut down yet was because it was the main producer of Miya twins content for the entire school.
Daisuke's pictures of the two were in shoe lockers, inside clear phone cases, hell, even on the school's bulletin boards. Losing him meant losing that demographic—and that meant losing the club.
And so, they began dividing up his work. Koyo got the girls' basketball club, Himari got the tennis club, Kaisei got the track and field club.
Aimoto Iori was not looking to fill in for Yamada Daisuke. She was not planning on taking over one of his many jobs.
Suzuki Miyoko, the president of the club, had different ideas.
"Come on, Iori! Didn't you report on the girl's volleyball club in middle school? You'll be perfect for the job!" she had said.
"You're already an amazing photographer. I can't imagine anyone else taking over for Yamada!" she had said.
Aimoto Iori ultimately agreed. You'll just be behind the camera, she said to herself. Nothing will come of it.
Aimoto Iori is not a sociable person. She may be nice, but she is never actively looking for friends.
And she is, most certainly, not looking for a boyfriend.
