Out of all of the things that were happening, this especially didn't feel real.
Honestly, Iori wasn't a big fan of Miwa meeting either of the twins. In fact, it horrified her, to the point where she physically locked up when Miwa drove up. Luckily for her, Osamu didn't really think too much, so she was able to easily bid him adieu and hop into Miwa's passenger seat.
"I knew this would happen!" she exclaimed, slamming her hand down on the steering wheel. "Where's my thank you? My expression of gratitude?"
"I don't want to go to Inarizaki next year," Iori deflected, not interested in thanking the short-haired woman. "I want to go somewhere more impressive."
Miwa's eyes widened. "Huh? Why so suddenly?"
"Would it sound horrible if I said I'm not satisfied with it? I don't feel like I've reached my full potential," Iori deadpanned, her tone flat. "Also, I don't think I enjoy it there as much as I could."
"Well...have you looked into going to Shiratorizawa or something?"
"I guess it's an option," Iori shrugged. "I wonder if all of the first-years are going to Hachidorijo."
"What?"
"Well, they're third-years now, but the girls at Mitsubachi that were first years when I was a third-year. The ones I played with," Iori explained. "I'm sure at least one of them has to have defected."
Taking her phone out of her pocket, Iori scrolled through her endless amounts of text messages, finding a conversation from nearly two years ago. It was a pretty short conversation, a simple "do we need to turn in our jerseys today?" and a "nope! tomorrow."
Koguchi Maru and her were never too close. She had been the main setter in Iori's third year, and they had worked pretty well together. Their relationship was basically like colleagues.
Iori typed a simple question, pressing send without any thought. She put the phone back in her lap, watching Tokyo go by from the inside of the car.

Inarizaki smoked the first team they played at nationals. Iori had blatantly avoided Yumeno, focusing on fulfilling her photographer role. Her feet were hurting from standing through the majority of the game, but at least she took some decent pictures.
