Iori felt like she owed a lifetime debt to Kageyama Miwa.
Kageyama Miwa, who lived in Tokyo. Kageyama Miwa, who offered to house her during Nationals. Kageyama Miwa, who helped her escape sitting on a bus next to either Osamu or Atsumu for over six hours.
A three-hour train ride was easier anyways.
"I don't know, they're hot as hell," Miwa said, looking over Iori's shoulder. She was sat on the couch, showing a very curious Miwa what the two boys in question looked like. "I don't think I'd be too upset if they're the ones in love with me."
"Yeah, but the mere concept of emotion terrifies me," Iori deadpanned, switching the phone off. "I don't want to go."
"I'll go for you," Miwa snorted, patting her shoulder. "I'm kidding, but I can drive you?"
"No, I'm getting personally picked up by the bus," Iori said, cringing a little. "So I don't have to pay an entrance fee."
"Are those girls you used to hang out with all the time gonna be there?" Miwa asked. "You know, the cute one who went to the fancy boarding school."
"Yumeno and a friend of hers are coming to spite-watch Takoaka High play," Iori answered, scrolling through the very long conversation the Karasuno second years were having.
"Takoaka beat them? I didn't know Takoaka even made it to nationals," Miwa asked, walking around the couch to sit next to Iori.
"Nah, they're a powerhouse. Them and the Itachiyama girls' team go to Nationals almost every year," Iori explained. "Takoaka had to forfeit one of the semifinals games, so they were put in the running to be the host reps, and beat Yumeno by one."
"What's Yumeno's school called? It's the huge campus on the outskirts of Ikebukuro," Miwa asked. "I don't ever pay attention to the name."
"Hachidorijo Academy. Mitsubachi is one of their feeder schools."
"Did you apply?"
"I got in," Iori scoffed. "It was too much paperwork, since I would technically be under dad's custody when I went there. Inarizaki was the better choice."
