My mind is blank and I have no idea what I just agreed to, I know well that Liam is a cheater, ut hearing his raspy voice and the way he called me baby made me want too faint into his arms. I rush. Backup the stairs that leads to the hallway, my heart is pounding, I don't know if I can stomach seeing her when I just agreed to give Liam a second chance.
„Want to order some pizza?" she asks as soon as I stepInto the room. „Sure." I simply say.„good, I'll pay so don't worry." She says with a simple smile, only making myguilt rise up even more. „I hope the pizza guy is hot." She says and I roll myeyes. I can't get the image of Liam out of my head. „I need to have some sex,it's been ages." Ava says and I chuckle at her disturbing though right afterwhat the both of us went through. I'm vaguely reminded of something but yetagain it slips my mind and the thought is lost. As Ava finishes up herunpacking I scroll through my phone to see all of the missed calls from Liamthat I had ignored before, all of the missed messages and apologies. Countlesswords of ‚sorry' are spread across the messages that now seem so fitting. Aknock is heard at our door. „pizza guy!" Ava practically yells as she opens thedoor, only to reveal a girl standing there with our pizza in hand. „oh." Avasays and my eyes are wide, I want to burst into laughter while hiding under thesheets from embarrassment. The girl hands Ava the pizza with a stink eye beforeshe finally leaves. The pizza is warm and ready for us to devour. „movie orhang out?" she asks. „hanging out." I say.
I need to get closer to Ava, despiteour separation only being a couple of months, we still managed to drift apart.We grab a slice of pizza and I can't help but be reminded of the time when Liambrought me a slice at the party, I had no idea what was really going on and Icouldn't feel any stupider that I believed him. „You know pizza, or any type ofjunk food really can mend a broken heart." She says while biting a mouthful.„Really? I didn't know that." I say grabbing my fat stomach and shaking it,making the both of us laugh. „I think someone's calling you." She says pointingat my phone that's vibrating out of control. Liam's name is flashing on thescreen reminding me we were supposed to meet up soon, but Iðm still not surehow I feel about any of this and I need some time with the only friend I have,and I know Liam wouldn't be as stupid as to come look for me at our dorm.
