Eleanor

"Good morning miss".

I couldn't help but grimace at the name she called me. Made me feel like some high class woman, which I certainly was not.

"Please, it's just Eleanor".

The sweet woman frowned slightly but nodded before she continued setting up the table.

"Where is Sofia? She woke me to tell me breakfast was ready, but she's not here".

The middle aged woman turned around and held out a plate towards me which I quickly received and placed it down in front of me.

"The little miss is currently having breakfast with her father in his office. He tends to do this if he's feeling stressed or upset. Sofia tried to plead with him, but he wasn't having any of it this morning. Something has really bothered him".

I couldn't help but stare down at my empty plate in shame. I knew exactly what was bothering him and I felt terrible for crossing the line. Even though he is an ass, I was out of order for talking about Sofia's mother. Maybe she died, or it's just a sensitive topic for him.

I'll find him later and give him one of my rare apologies.

"Can I get you anything else, Eleanor".

I was not used to waking up to such a large amount of food. Normally it was a measly bowl of porridge and a banana. But today I was sat before plates of bacon, sausages, eggs, waffles, pancakes, fresh fruit and hash browns.

I was in heaven.

The woman excused herself to get the pot of coffee and rushed off.

I tried to tell her that it was okay and it wouldn't be necessary, but she had already disappeared.

Sighing heavily as I began to tuck into the crispy bacon, I began to fall into a day dream state and wonder what my life had come to.

It was Sunday and tomorrow I had to get back to my ballet.

We had non stop rehearsals and me being one of the main leads meant that I could not afford any more time off or they would give my role to my stand in, and that was Frankie.

After I had given Sofia some ballet lessons, I was going to apologise to Oscar and then demand to go home and let my life go back to normal.

"Not everything is as it seems Eleanor".

A shiver raked through me as I remembered that man's voice echoing around my head. Who was I kidding, my life will never go back to normal, not now that I was supposedly rescued by the asshole that rules the English Mafia. I was involved in a lifestyle I had only enjoyed reading about, but being in it was not fun.

"How do you like your coffee?".

"Full fat and creamy please".

The woman's eyes widened at my sudden and very quick response.

"O-Okay".

She placed a few items in front of me and stood before me with her hands clamped together by her stomach.

"Do you need anything else?".

I bit my lip harshly debating in my head if this was the right thing to do or not. But I was just too damn nosy. That was one of my worst habits.

"This might be a bit intrusive, but where is Sofia's mother?".

And just like Oscar, her sweet soft expression hardened.

Why couldn't I just keep my mouth shut.

"It's not my place to say anything about that".

Fair enough.
