Peeking my head in Lyric's room nodding my head as Ella looked around excitedly, I stepped in walking over to the nightstand beside her bed smiling down at the picture of Lyric, Blessing, Jade, and Jonah in the hospital the day my little man was born.
"Wow sis...tryna make a hood nigga cry and shit." Laughing as Ella sucked her teeth waving for me to follow her, I shook my head still in disbelief following her onto the patio. "It feel good as shit out here."
"And this right here is my patio, just wait till I get some cute shit out here. Sooo what you think?"

At the rate Ella has been going for the past few years, I never thought I'd see the day when she'd be showing me around her new apartment, purchased with her own money. Even though my mom was always hard on the three of us, she's always had a soft spot for Ella.
When Ella got pregnant by Arthur, I knew my Mom was going to have to step in because at the time Ella wasn't fit to raise no child. After she graduated high school, she got comfortable continuing to lean on my mom for financial support and it pissed Jason and I off. I just felt as though she was taking advantage of her.
My mom's always threatened Ella with a deadline for her to move out but never executed it. So the fact that she finally got her shit together...I'm proud.
