Chapter 18: Ritsu Studied This Time

Today is the second day of the exams for the Shuchiin Academy students. Ritsu made sure he studied this time.

During the lunch period, Ritsu went to the rooftop to write. His paper read:

oh my tiny little goddess
I don't wanna wake you up
when you smile in your sleep
I wonder who you're dreaming of

your eyes, striking me with every tiny glance
stare into it and I fall into a trance
songs I write just for you to hear it all
...

"Hmm... what could i use with "all"?"

"How about "ball"?" Ritsu knows that voice.

It's Hayasaka, Ritsu's girlfriend.

"Oh, Ai-san. What brings you here?"

"Nothing, I thought you'd be sleeping in the courtyard again. You weren't there so I went up here."

Ritsu pulls Hayasaka closer to him and she blushes.

Hayasaka, flustered by what Ritsu did, stammers. "Daring today, aren't we?"

"It was worth a shot." Ritsu giggles.

Ritsu writes the last line, "I'm still wishing for you in this crystal ball."

"How's your arm?" Hayasaka asks.

"It's fine. Still stuck in a cast for the next six weeks though."

"Anyways, did you study today like i told you to?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Good luck with your exams later!"

Suddenly, someone walks in to the rooftop.

"What are you two lovebirds doing here?" Shinomiya teases the two of them.

The two of them get flustered and move away from each other.

"I just went here to write." Ritsu says.

"Oh, another poem? Have you shown her all of them?"

"Oh? what do you mean by all of them?" Hayasaka starts getting curious.

Ritsu pulls out his notebook from his bag. He then gives it to Hayasaka.

"Hey, Ai-chan. Did you know? Ritsu wrote all of those for you." Shinomiya winks.

"What? All of these, for me?" Hayasaka gets flustered yet again.

"Surprise... I guess?" Ritsu hides his face in embarrassment.

"I think that's sweet." Hayasaka smiles.

"You two do know i'm still here, right?" Shinomiya says.

"Sorry, Kaguya-san."

"It's almost time for the next exam. Shall we go?" The three of them then proceed to their classrooms.

Later that day,

"Hey, Ritsu-kun. We're going to a Karaoke later to celebrate the end of the exams. You wanna come? There are girls from other schools coming." One of Ritsu's classmates asks him.

"I'll pass. I have a girlfriend already. Also, I still have a broken arm. See?" Ritsu obliviously replies.

"Wait, what? Who? Since when?"

"Did I say i have a girlfriend already? I meant I hope you find a girlfriend already."

"Ah I see. I must've misheard you. Okay then, bye!"

"That was close." Ritsu nearly slipped.
