At the end of the day, Kaoru decides to head to the library for her first lesson. She sees Ritsu sitting on a table on the corner of the library.
"Hey."
"Oh, uh... here, answer this." Ritsu gives her a small notebook containing english questions. Kaoru then sits down and proceeds to answer.
"Do you mind if I make a call outside?" Ritsu says.
"Not at all."
Ritsu then goes outside the library to call Hayasaka.
"Hey, Ai-san. I'll be coming home late today, the principal told me to do something."
"It's okay, I understand!"
"To make up for it, why don't we walk home together tomorrow?"
"Sure!"
"Well then, I gotta go. My student's waiting for me."
"Okay, bye- what student?" Ritsu accidentally hangs up.
He then goes back to the table to see that Kaoru is nearly finished, looking confident.
"You seem like you're doing well."
"Wait, I'm almost done."
a few minutes later, Kaoru hands Ritsu the notebook. Ritsu checks her answers and...
she miserably failed.
"Wow. She only got 7 out of 50 questions correct." Ritsu thought to himself.
"Well, how did I do?" Kaoru asks.
Ritsu only looks at her with sad eyes.
"What? Hey! Stop looking at me like that!"
"Follow me. I'll go get you some books to help you study."
The two of them roam around the library and get some books: English for Dummies, How Do I Get Good In English?, and a copy of their English textbook with answers.
"Here, read these." Ritsu tells her.
"Okay, sensei!" Kaoru enthusiastically says.
"Please don't call me that."
Kaoru reads the first book, English for Dummies. Every now and then, she would ask Ritsu for help if she didn't understand.
A few hours later, Kaoru finishes reading the first book.
"Let's call it a day, shall we?" Ritsu tells her.
"It is getting pretty late."
"See you tomorrow!"
"Wait! I don't know how to go home on my own..." Kaoru looks at Ritsu with puppy eyes.
"Go call your mom or something." Ritsu says.
"My phone's dead..."
"Mine isn't. Here, call her." Ritsu starts getting irritated.
"I forgot her number..."
"Fine. I'll bring you to the station, that's it."
"Yay! Thank you, Sakurajima-sensei!"
"I told you, don't call me that!"
They then leave, with Ritsu looking even more irritated than ever.
"How will I explain this to my girlfriend?" Ritsu sighs.
