The exams for the third semester are here. Ritsu has benefitted from tutoring Kaoru, as the two of them are taking the same exam.
"Good luck, Ritsu-sensei!"
"When will you stop calling me that?!"
Kaoru laughs.
"Hey. Good luck." Hayasaka walks past by him at the door of their classroom.
"You too."
Their first exam for the day starts, and Ritsu is pretty confident in his answers. Kaoru, on the other hand...
"I'm not even sure what this word means."
She then glances at Ritsu, who simply gives him a thumbs up.
As the test goes on, Kaoru is getting more and more confused.
"Huh? What is this even supposed to be?"
A few minutes later, the exam ends.
Ritsu walks up to Kaoru and asks, "How did you do?"
"Oh, great. I think I could get a high score. I'm pretty confident, you know?" Kaoru, in fact, is not confident at all.
The next teacher comes in, and the second exam starts: Physics.
A few minutes in, Ritsu scratches his head. "How does this even work?"
Meanwhile, Kaoru is breezing through the questions.
"Well that was easy." Kaoru sighs.
"Hm. I wonder how Hayasaka's doing." Ritsu thought to himself.
In Class 2-A's room,
"I don't even know what I'm doing." Hayasaka has given up.
The first day of exams has ended. Hayasaka and Ritsu decide to go home together.
"Hey, Ritsu-kun. How'd you do in your exams?" Hayasaka asks.
"English was alright. The tutoring really helped me study."
"How about Physics?"
"Let's... uh... not talk about that."
"What a coincidence! I struggled hard with Physics too."
"Exactly, right? I don't even understand half of the questions."
The two of them laugh.
