Chapter 35: Ritsu is Tired

Later on, they decide to stop by a convenience store. Ritsu buys an ice cream cone, then takes a picture. He then sends the picture to Hayasaka.

"Hey, I want some too! >o<" Hayasaka replies.

"Want me to stop by your house and drop some off?"

"No, it's getting pretty late. Stay safe! Ily"

Ritsu smiles.

"Who are you talking to?" Kaoru says from behind him.

"Oh, I completely forgot you were here." Ritsu teases her.

"So, who was it?"

"My girlfriend."

"Oh, who?" Kaoru gets curious.

"Ai Hayasaka, the blonde girl from Class 2-A."

"Isn't she dating that one guy from the basketball team?"

"I AM that guy!"

"Oh?!"

"Yeah. I left the team after I broke my arm."

"But isn't it okay now?" Kaoru points at Ritsu's left arm.

"It is, but I don't wanna risk breaking it again for now."

A few minutes later, they arrive at the station.

"Uh... Sakurajima-san. Would you mind bringing me here... whenever we have lessons?"

"I don't know. See you!" Ritsu runs away.

"Does he not like me?" Kaoru then waits for the train.

"I'm tired. I just wanna sleep." Ritsu sighs.

At home, Ritsu sees Haru waiting for him.

"You're late."

"Sorry, the principal made me do something."

"What?"

"Tutor a failing student."

Haru laughs. "I see. Go get a rest, you deserve it!"

"Thanks, sis."

Ritsu then takes a shower and heads to his room. He calls Hayasaka before going to sleep.

"Hey, are you asleep?" Ritsu asks.

"I'm not. How are you?"

"Tired. The student's a pain in the butt."

"About that... mind explaining me what this is?"

Hayasaka sends Ritsu a picture of him and Kaoru in front of the train station.

"Oh, that... She didn't know how to go home alone. She said she always goes home by car, kinda like Shinomiya-san."

"Who is she?" Hayasaka asks.

"She's the student I told you about. The principal made me tutor her to get my college recommendation."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. Tutoring's gonna be over after the next exam. She just needs to pass and it's over."

"Okay, I believe you, but on one condition."

"What?"

"Let me help you! I have high grades in english."

"Really? Thanks, Ai-san."

"It's the least I can do for my boyfriend."

"I'm getting kinda sleepy... I love you, Ai-san. Good night!"
