Nandini woke up at her usual time and got ready for office. She came for breakfast where she saw maa already waiting for her.
"Nandu, agae tu chal breakfast karlete h" she said and started serving breakfast for both of them. Nandini silently sat there and started having her breakfast.
"Kaha jarri h vaise tu subha subha" maa asked.
"Office" she answered softly in single word.
"Nandu naraz h mujhse" maa asked disheartedly sensing her behaviour.
"Nahi maa m apse kyo naraz hone lagi. M bhala apse naraz ho sakte hu kya" she said while holding maa's hand.
"Beta m tumhe bas khush dekhna chate hu, m nahi chate ki koi bhi mere baccho pe ungli uthae ya unhe hurt karre." Maa said affectionately.
"I know maa ap tension nahi lo " nandini said while resuming her breakfast. Maa can still see the gloominess on her face.
"Acha vo tu kya kahre thi kl raat kaha jana h" maa asked making nandu look at her with wide eyes.
"Album release m maa" nandini said excitedly.
"Acha kiske album h" maa asked.
"Manik sir ke aur unke friends ki unhone mujhe khud phone karke invite kiya h maa" nandini said happily "par m nahi jari hu" she added with a sad face.
"Tujhe jana h" maa asked. Hearing maa nandini's eyes twinkled with excitement.
"Haan agar ap ok ho toh" she said hopefully.
"Theek h chali ja par time se ghr aana no getting late samjhe" maa said making nandini shreak in happiness.
"Thank u thank u so much maa m pakka time se ajaunge "she exclaimed while hugging maa.
"Okay par nandu meri baat dhyan se sun.
Tu jantu hna humari life kitni simple h. Aur ye sab chize hamare life ka part nhi ban sakte kabhi kabhi sahi h par roz roz nhi. M nahi chate ki kl ko tu ye soche ki mujhe maa manna kyo karre h. Ye lifestyle humlogo keliye nahi h beta" maa explained in an attempt to make her understand.
"M samjhte hu m aage se aisa kabhi nhi hoga. Sry maine apko pareshan kiya" she apologized.
"Arre aisa kuch nhi h. Tum sab khush raho bas aur kuch nhi cahiye mujhe" maa exclaimed affectionately.
"Acha chal ja ab late hojaege nhi toh" maa said. With this nandini left for her office after promising maa to be back on time.
She reached office on time and got busy in completing her work. It was around lonch time when there was a knock on her door.
"Yes " she said allowing the person to come in. A man came in with a box.
"Mam ye apka parcel" he said while keeping the box on her desk.
"Mera parcel kisne bheja h" she asked suspiciously.
"Pta nahi mam, ap please yaha sign karde" he said and left from there after getting the papers signed.
"Mere liye ye kisne bheja hoga" he thought. Suddenly her phone rang bringing her out of her trace.
"Sir" she whispered with a smile as soon as she saw the name of the person calling her. She immediately picks up the call.
"Hello" manik said as soon as the call got answered.
"Hello, Goo...good afternoon sir" she greeted him nervously
"Nandini no need to be formal" he said sensing her nervousness.
"Ummm.....aa..apko kuch kaam tha" she stammered.
