It had only been three days but I couldn’t stand them any longer. After that little fight with my brother, I tried my best not to cross paths with him again. And it had also been three days of wasting sembreak where I should be spending it doing some leisure activities, perhaps, swimming which I already planned doing ahead with my boyfriend, Ked, and Kiko.

Seriously, why did he have to come home? He already looked so happy and settled in New York!

Nakakainis!

“Of course! That is totally fine, hija. You can have the swimming pool for all you want. I’m sure that is going to be so much fun.

I slightly frowned hearing about that Nicolétte again. I seriously hated that girl. It had only been few days yet she already won the hearts of everyone, well except me. At mas mabuti na ring wala siya ngayon dito, ano! Naiinis ako sa presensiya niya. And I was sure that she and Mama were having so much fun right now sa bayan. Ipinag-drive pa nga sila ni Papa. And I had heard, papunta rin sila sa salon. Mother and daughter bonding kumbaga.

My ass!

Overwhelmed with joy, I leaped into her arms. Tita Andrea’s tenderness and unwavering support always touched my heart deeply, a stark contrast to Mama’s personality.

“Thank you, Tita!”

“You are always welcome, hija. Malakas ka kaya sa akin. And oh, Lily, please, do me a favor. Can you invite my daughter with you?

“Hayaan po ninyo, if I will have to drag Nina out of her room, I will do it,” sabi ko.

“Oh, siya! Go ahead and call them to come over here. I will prepare some snacks for you before I head out to join your Mama and Nicolétte,” she said and hearing about them had me frowning again.

Speaking of Nina, I knocked on her doors and invited her to join us. But despite my best efforts, persuasion, charm, and even bribery, she still chose to read books and lock herself in her room.
