Ok, I'm kind of insecure about this one so please tell me what you think of it?

*a month later*

Cold winter wind was piercing her back as the tall girl strode over towards the next turning. There was hardly a soul in sight, yet Taylor could hear people laughing and singing over the dead silence; a sound from afar. The road was dimly lit and Taylor was a bit aware, in case she stumbled across pebbles or any other obstacle.

For a second, Taylor was glad that there were no paparazzi or fans in sight; given her previous interactions with them. Dressed in a black crop top and her signature leather skirt to go along with it(and the overcoat on top of her of course, it was very dear to her at times like these), Taylor couldn't help but shiver under the effect of the harsh wind, that was pursuing her into the night.

Seconds later, she opened up the door to the bar where she was supposed to meet her friends, models from Victoria's Secret to be exact. Not that she was exactly intent upon downing drinks, but she did want to spend time with the girls since she had been missing out so much.

It was the same old setting again - girls laughing pretentiously, bartenders passing on drinks and a whole corner dedicated to the pool players. One sweeping glance throughout the room and a smile spread across Taylor's features, once she found the svelte figure of Karlie, leaning against the railing as she watched on the game intently. She hardly looked up, though the singer was sure she had been staring for a second too long.

Saying nothing, Taylor waved to the girls, who were seated on the couch and made her way towards them. Dressed casually, but protective against the cold; Lily and Adriana welcomed the singer to their group, making space for her to sit between them. The two were sipping on mead, their glasses full of the colored liquid. Adriana offered some of it to Taylor, but the singer declined for she had much greater things in her mind than indulging in alcohol.

The whole crowd at the corner burst into laughter and thumped the guy on the back, whom Taylor recognized to be Aaron. Amongst them, stood Karlie - perfect, pristine and Taylor's.

The room washed in dim blue light, presented nothing but a hubbub of drinkers and smokers, who were watching over the two, Karlie fixing her cue as Aaron set up the table for her.

Her hazel eyes swept across the room, hardly interested in any of the actions taking place, stopping only when they found themselves reflected in Taylor's blue eyes. Yet, her face formed no expression, not a smile as her gaze fell back to the billiards table and she continued to focus on it. Adriana nudged Taylor, laughing at the exchange between their eyes.

Crouching a little, Karlie fixed her cue once again, aiming the cue ball for the 8-ball, set at one of the far corners of the table. Everybody watched out of simple curiosity, though they recognized her to be one of the best pool players around; they knew that the game could change anytime and anywhere.

Her hazel eyes once again glanced up at Taylor's, who nodded before she went down again. The cue held between her fingers hit the cue ball, slow and steady as the balls dissolved towards their path, some crossing over to the next half and the other set traversing differently.

The room erupted in laughter once the black ball dropped into one of the corner pockets, Aaron punching the air in failure. Adriana and Lily too broke into smiles, getting up to get themselves another drink or two; for there's nothing better than mead on a cold winter night.

But the hazel eyed girl simply stood there, hardly a grin crossing her face as she hugged her jacket closer. Taylor couldn't help but observe her manners - calm, reserved yet conceited as it so appeared. She hardly talked to people, but then as one would've guessed, that's what attracted people to her. Her aura was alluring, like secrets asking to be unfolded. Her face still held what reflected deep sadness, dejection and exasperation; from the outside world, perhaps?
