Chapter 9

Naina's POV

I woke up and looked for Rajveer but he was nowhere in the room. I quickly got ready as I woke up late. I came down and saw Rajveer standing there with Rahul and Ruchi. Ruchi is my masi's (mother's sister) daughter but we are not that close. What is she doing here?

"How are you my dear sis?" she asked me.

"I am good. How are you Ruchi?" I asked her.

"I am awesome that's the only reason Rahul married me instead of you" She said wickedly. They got married. Did they loved each other?

"Congrats. May you have a happy married life sis." I said her with a smile.

"I can understand you might be feeling jealous of me right."

"why will I be jealous?" I asked being confused.

"Because I rejected you and selected Ruchi." Rahul spoke interrupting our conversation.

"Have you ever looked at yourself. You really thought that Rahul loved you and was going to marry you. I pity on you my dear sis." Ruchi spoke with venom in her voice.

"I wanted my life partner to be smart, modern and independent. The day I met you I realised you were nowhere close to my choice. You are just too traditional and shy" he said. Did he really thought that I was dying to marry him? Like seriously....

"I met Ruchi during our engagement and I felt for her the moment I saw her. She was the perfect girl I could ask for. Since from then we both started talking to each other and soon even she felt in love with me." Rahul said with a kind of cunning smile. I wanted to slap him and remove that smile from his face.

"Rahul leave the house right now. I don't even want to see your face. Get Lost" Rahul's dad said in a loud voice.

"Dad why are you getting so angry? Just relax." Rahul said.

"You made fun of our feelings and now standing here shamelessly. Get Lost from here. I don't even want to see your face" Rahul's dad said angrily.

"This house belongs to my grandfather and I have equal right on it. Nobody has the right to make me leave this house." Rahul said

Rahul's parents were embarrassed and went to their room in frustration. Thank God I didn't marry this shameless creature

"Rahul Bhai what nonsense are you speaking. Have you lost your mind?" Rajveer said angrily.

"I can understand you are angry on me as you have to marry her without your wish. Nobody with a sensible mindset would have agreed to marry her. I am really sorry as you got stuck in all this situation because of me." Rahul said and Rajveer looked at him in intense anger. He looked like a wounded lion ready to attack on his prey. Before Rajveer can react Ruchi said something that made me really angry

"I can understand your feelings sis. You must be heartbroken. You were going to get married to somebody who is beyond perfect and now you married his first copy. How sad." She said. How dare she to speak something like that about Rajveer .

Suddenly Ruhi came running towards me with her paint palette in her hand. She was about to slip so I went near her and I saved her from falling. Her palette fell down on Ruchi's head. She was looking really funny. Everyone tried to control themselves from laughing but soon everyone started laughing except for Rahul.
