Chapter 36

Naina's POV

I came out of the bathroom and saw Rajveer sitting on the couch and smirking at me. I rushed out of the room and went down. I was entering the kitchen when an amazing aroma strike my nostril. I saw Ruhi was cooking with full concentration. She saw me and greeted me.

"Do you need any help?" I asked her.

"No Bhabhi everything is done." She said and removed gajar ka halwa in a large serving bowl and garnished it with different chopped dry fruit. My mouth started watering. It was making me hungry.

"Why you made halwa early in the morning?" I asked her.

"Mom asked me to make a sweet dish as bhai got the deal and you have your show today." She said smiling brightly.

"It's looking delicious. See I taught you cooking so credit goes to me. Now let me taste it and give you marks." I said and took the spoon but she took the bowl backwards.

"Bhabhi we have to offer it to god first so you can't eat it now." She said.

"Oh! Sorry I thought you are just making it for us to have in breakfast." I said. We placed the halwa in front of gods idol.

I saw Raghav bhai talking with dad in the hall. When did he come? Maybe some business work? I greeted him and dad. Dad insisted him to have breakfast with us. He accepted reluctantly.

Ruhi and I placed all the dishes on the table along with the halwa. Soon everyone came and sat on their respective places.

"Wow! Who made all this? It looks tasty." Rajveer said in excitement.

"I made it bhai." Ruhi said with a beaming expression on her face but everyone looked at her in shock.

"Seriously you cooked all this." Raghav bhai asked her and she just stared him angrily.

"I don't want to die soon." Rajveer said with horrified expression. Why is he behaving like this?

"Last time you burnt the entire kitchen. What did you do now?" He asked her.

"Bhai that happened when I was thirteen. Stop teasing me." she said in irritation

"But I don't want to die so soon. I am not eating it." He said making her sad.

"Don't eat. Nobody forced you." She said in anger and took his plate.

"No now you are forcing me so I will eat it." He said giving his famous smile and pulled the plate.

"Drama king." Ruhi said sighing. I adore their cute brother-sister bond.

Soon Ragini came with a packet.

"Rajveer look I got your favourite breakfast from our favourite restaurant." She said stretching 'our' word.

"Sorry Ragini I can't eat it now as Ruhi has cooked today's breakfast and I will have that only." Rajveer said firmly and Ruhi smiled at him. She was furious but couldn't react. I was trying really hard to control my laughter.

Madam is trying every possible way to impress my husband but my innocent husband is spoiling her every plan. Keep it up hubby.

The food was awesome and everyone praised Ruhi. I realised that I was getting late and I need to reach the venue soon. I asked Rajveer to drop me at the venue.

We reached and I got down the car. I informed him the show time.

I went inside and saw everything was scattered on the floor and saw Shreya and the event planner yelling at the workers to get the work done. What new problem came now? I went near them and told her to calm down and say the issue. Luckily it was just her fear of getting the work done quickly and nothing else.

I went and looked at the dresses for one last time. I was really nervous for this show but I don't know why. Soon all the models came and started getting ready. I was helping Sachi and stopping her from panicking.

It was time to start the show. They were lot of big names from the fashion world and media was also present. I was going to revel that I am NK to the world. I was worried for Sachi but she carried herself perfectly. I went on the stage like how every designer does. Everyone was stunned to see me. I could hear the crowd whisper that I am young and they were expecting somebody old. I could see Rajveer looking at me proudly. I was feeling really great. The show ended successfully and everyone praised me a lot for the design.
