*Monday; Anastacia's PoV*

"Good morning mom" I walk in the house and we hug. My dad picked me up from the airport. I'm spending the break with my parents and then heading back to school after New Years.

I still had some classes but I'm doing those online for the break.

"How was the flight?" my mom asks as I sit down next to my dad in the kitchen. "It was okay" she gives me a smile and then it goes quiet.

"So what are we doing for the holidays?" I ask.

"We're having some family over for Christmas and then we're going to a party for New Years"

"You two?" I ask. My dad nods.

"You have friends here sweety. Go out and let loose. Have fun" I raise my eyebrow.

"So you're basically to go get drunk with my friends" they both nod and I sigh.

"You know I don't drink"

"You're 19-"

"Main reason why I don't drink mom" I look at her.

"We're giving you permission and it's with your friends. Nothing can go wrong"

"Hi can I have an medium iced coffee with milk please" my friend orders her drink. We pay and we sit down waiting for our drinks.

I'm hanging out with my friend, Sammy. She's still in high school, so she sees Alex a lot.

"How's college?" She asks.

"It's alright. I'm a bit advanced and I might do three years undergrad instead of four"

"With your smarts, of course" I laugh and nod, "I guess so yes"

"How are you holding up?" I sigh.

"Not good I guess. I don't know. I want her to see that I made a mistake and hope she can give me a second chance" she gives me a soft smile.

They call our names and we grab our drinks. We go back to my car and I turn it on.

"Where to now?" She asks.

"Let's go to the mall"

"I'm glad I brought my money" she points to her purse.

"I need to get my boyfriend a gift so perfect timing" Sammy says as I follow her in Game Stop.

I walk with her and she looks for something for her gamer boyfriend.

"I thought you said we were going to a different store first!" I hear a girl whine.

"There is nothing wrong with Game Stop. Let her get her games and then we'll go somewhere else Vere" I hear another girl say.

I turn around and I see three girls gathered around the entrance.

Why does one of them look so familiar?

I see the shortest girl walk away from the group.

I see the other two girls talking, and they call the short one back over to them.

"Okay meet you at Hot Topic in an hour" the short one, who I learned her name is Ellie, says as she turns back to the games and the other two walk out.

*Ellie's PoV*

"Okay meet you at Hot Topic in an hour" I tell Josie and Vere as they walk out. I look around and 10 minutes later I end up with 3 video games. I look up and I see Anastacia. My eyes widened and I look down.
