*Wednesday morning; Alex's PoV*

I wake up around 8:46am. I grab my phone and see messages from family and friends wishing me a happy birthday.

I scroll through the messages replying back.

I see some messages that I wasn't expecting.

Ellie: happy birthday you idiot!! 🥳

Miranda: happy birthday Alex 🎊

Evelyn: happy 18th Alexxxx!

I see they posted me on their Snapchat too.

I didn't even realize they had pictures of me, wow.

I don't see anything from Josie so I guess she's still sleeping. I get up and go take a shower.

"Happy birthday Mija!" My mom hugs me and I hug back.

"Thank you ma"

"Happy birthday Alex" my dad messes my hair up and I laugh, "thanks dad" I sit down in the kitchen table and we eat breakfast.

"What do you have planned today?"

"I don't know. I don't work today. Maybe I'll go out with some friends"

"Remember that some family are coming over for a party"

"Oh right I forgot about that. What time so I know when to be back?" I ask.

"Everyone should be here by 7" I nod.

"Got it"

*2 hours later*

I was in my room, looking through some things in my laptop, when my phone vibrated about 2 times.

I grab it and I see it's from Josie.

Josie❤️: good morning AND happy 18th birthday you cutie!! geez idk what to say lmaoo, I just now woke up like 5 minutes ago😂 ummm I hope your day is amazing! don't do anything illegal yet🤦🏻‍♀️. umm umm.. thank you for being alive!❤️ yeah that ❤️

I smile and answer her back.

Me: good morning and thank you love. I won't do anything illegal anytime soon😂 and ofc my day is going to be amazing. I'm taking you and our friends out! They already know so be ready in an hour

I go to Snapchat and see she posted a goofy picture that I took on her phone during lunch, while she was looking in her backpack for something I probably asked her for.

I smile and I see Josie texted me back. I get out of Snapchat and open the message.

Josie❤️: wait really? You should've told me yesterday so I could wake up early!! What should I wear?

Me: something comfortable and cute. It's not cold anymore so yeah

Josie❤️: got it! text me when you're on your way to pick me up

Me: bet

I put my phone down and close my laptop.

My other friends are either out of town for the break or they were busy. Only Josie, Ellie and Evelyn were available today.
