In chapter 7...

*Alex's PoV*

"HAPPY NEW YEAR" everyone yelled out and the fire works started popping illuminating the sky.

As everyone was cheering, Josie tapped my shoulder and I turn to look at her and she did the unexpected.

She kissed me.

My mind was going crazy.

But what did I do?

I kissed her back.

I placed one hand on her cheek and the other one on her waist. I could tell she was surprised that I'm kissing back.

The kiss lasted about 10 seconds. She pulls away from the kiss and she looks at me.

She stays quiet blushing really hard.

"I-I wasn't expecting you to kiss back" she tells me.

"Me neither Jos" we keep looking at each other.

*Josie's PoV*

Her lips were soft. They felt so good against my lips.

Wait is that the alcohol talking or I'm being serious about it?

I keep looking at Alex until Ellie interrupts us by hugging me from the back.

"Happy New Years!!" I smile and turn around to hug her. We went back inside the house and we kept partying.

*Verenice's PoV; one hour later*

I'm sitting down with Vic and I look at Josie.

Alex disappeared a while ago, saying she was going to the restroom.

I still can't believe she actually kissed her. We wouldn't have noticed if it wasn't for Evelyn.

None of us are mad or anything.

We actually want them to date.

But it takes time so yeah. There's that.

I see Josie, who's completely drunk by now, dancing against Ellie, grinding on her.

Now you might think, why is Vic letting this happen?

Well first of all Josie is drunk and Ellie is not. So if it starts getting more "intense" Ellie can stop her. We all learned to not take things like these seriously, when Josie is drunk.

I check the time and see it's 1:13am.

I stand up and walk to the restroom. I see Alex sitting down in one of the couches they have before entering the actual restrooms. It's like a small lobby, you could say.

I sit down next to her. She looks at me.

"Did you see-" I nod.

"We did"

"Did you know she was going to?" I shake my head.

"It was probably just the alcohol that made her do that. Or maybeeee she really wanted to kiss you"

"Does she like me?" I shrug.

"You guys just become friends like a month ago. I highly doubt it" she nods.
