Monday came pretty quickly and I decided to come to work early. I wanted to finish my workload so I can be free to go later to see Zara.

I picked up my wristwatch on top of my dresser and wear it before having one last look in front of the mirror and got out.

There in his jet-black corporate attire, clean-shaven face, and neat haircut, was the devil himself. He's wearing his rectangular-rimmed glasses that always make my insides tremble indiscreetly.

His eyes are void of emotion. I can't see even a hint of slight surprise in it when he saw me standing there in front of him.

Then he boredly raised his eyes back at me again and said, "Are you going in or not?"

I scowled because of the coldness of his voice and just got inside.

He's still the same. He'd still always get grumpy and have little mood swings. I get that he already has a cold demeanor, even before. He's just different when it comes to me. But seeing him being his old self again just renew some memories of him that I already hushed for so long.

Ipinilig ko ang ulo.

I stood inches away from him as possible. The elevator dings as it closes and the awkward silence just started to envelope the both of us.

I unconsciously scrunched up my nose when his manly perfume automatically welcomed my nostrils as we waited for the lift to reach the right floor. We just stood there, unmoving.

What the hell is his problem?

The huge diamond in my engagement ring shines bright on the reflection right in front of us.

I heard him hissed.

"An October bride, huh?", puno ng pagkasarkastiko niyang sambit.

I just heard it from Ashton last night so how come he also knew about it already?

I scoffed.

"What happened to your 'not marrying for convenience'?", he mocked.

"Don't start, Zardeleja. Ang aga aga pa.", I warned him.

Like really? Hindi pa siya tapos? Was he really that butthurt because of what I told him yesterday?

I heaved a deep breath. I really have to remind myself to have patience. I still have plans for today.
