Chapter 9: Rainy Days

"Love..." Sidon yawned as he looked over at you putting on your boots.

It had been almost 2 years since the attack on the domain, but everything was back in line now. Muzu was considering letting Sidon take the position as king before he got married so they would have a ruler, but Sidon seemed a bit against the idea. But he knew you would support him in any way you could whether or not he chose to become king so soon.

"Good morning Sidon!" You smiled and ran over to kiss him.

"Where are you going?"

"I have some things to do with Link. I'm sorry."

"Oh come on ______.... we could've had a whole day to ourselves..."

"I know, and I would love to stay here but I have to go." You kissed his cheek before leaving. "I love you."

"I love you too... be safe."

"I will." You walked out and hopped down the steps.

"Master _____!" You looked to your right and saw Bazz waving his hand.

"Captain Bazz!"

"I was just informed by the royal guards of Hyrule Castle to tell you not to go down there today."

"Why not?" You tilted your head a bit.

"They said there was going to be a rough storm coming in over the path between us and over the domain that will last all day. So they just wanted you to stay here." You looked up at the sky, and you could see it was already getting cloudy.

"Well, then I'll be with Sidon if you need anything else. Thank you, Bazz."

"No problem _____." Bazz nodded and you went back to yours and Sidon's room.

"Sidon? I'm back." You said as you stepped in. He turned over to look at you.

"I thought you said you had a couple meetings with Link? I didn't know you werw that fast."

"Well, I wish. But Bazz said that Link told him they didn't want me going down there today because of storm coming in."

"Well, now you can spend this wonderful rainy day with me my dear." You smiled and went to get comfortable before cuddling up next to him.

"Finally, a day that neither of us are busy." Sidon sighed.

"Well, that'll all change soon won't it?"

"Yes, I suppose it will. We'll be even busier, and that doesn't make it better."

"I know..."

"But hey, let's just enjoy the time we do have together now, right?"

"Right."

You locked eyes with Sidon and you knew that he knew that you were worried. Worried about the future. What the next Ganon attack would bring. What it would do. The people you would lose. The toll it would all take on the kingdom. He went in and kissed you, one that you never wanted to break. But it did, and then he pulled you into a tight embrace and whispered sweet nothings to you until you fell asleep.

You woke up and the room was dark, and you heard thunder outside. Loud thunder. Something felt off. You went outside, and saw ganon sparks.

"Ganon?! SIDON!" You screamed, and you looked to your left and saw Sidon running towards you. He swooped you up in his arms.

"Hey, hey, shhh, _____, it's not Ganon. I was just making lunch. It's sparks from the fire."

"Lunch? But it's night time."

"No, it's like about 12 pm."

"Then why is it so dark?"

"Because the storm is worse than they thought. And your soaked now, come on." Sidon took you back to your room and ran a bath for you. (And I guess here it's safe to bathe during a storm idk)

"Okay, you just relax and I'll be back with lunch."

"Okay." You just relaxed and then after you came out, Sidon walked back in the room with a huge metal tray with a cover. He was soaked as well.

"I got our favorite." He said as he set the tray down on the bed.

"Really?" You asked as you hopped on the bed. You both knew what the other did.

"Spicy peppered seafood!" You both exclaimed in unison before laughing.

"I think I said it quicker." You laughed as you lifted up the cover.

"No you didn't! I did." You giggled as Sidon reached over and made a mess of your wet hair.

"Sidon, you're soaked."

"I know. I'll be back." Sidon went to take off his adornments and dry off a bit. He came back and the two of you just enjoyed a perfect rainy day together.
