It was late at night, presumably midnight, and the party to celebrate Ganon's death and the reunion of the king and queen was ending.
"Darling, you look exhausted. We should go to bed." Sidon said, wrapping his arms around you from behind. You leaned back and embraced it, having missed his hugs so much.
"We should..." You yawned, looking out at the crowd of people and reaching for Sidon's hand. "Let's find Aurelia, and- Ah! Sidon!" You squealed as he swept you up off the ground and cradled you in his arms.
"Your adorable, love..." He pulled you up closer to him so he could reach your lips and passionately kissed you. You were redder than Sidon at this point and you had no idea where this sudden affection was coming from.
'It's been eight years for the goddesses sake, of course there's going to be affection.' You kept telling yourself. But he seemed slightly off either way.
"Sidon..." You started after the kiss broke. "...Are you drunk at all dear?"
"Whaaat? No, that's ridiculous." He shook his head and you giggled a bit.
"You liar." Sidon shrugged and admitted to having had a drink or two before going in for another kiss.
"Mom! Dad!" Aurelia sang as she ran through the domain looking for the pair of you. Sidon slowly pulled away and you both caught sight of her skipping happily across the balcony. While the two of you were by one of the stairs cases.
"Aurelia! We're over here!" Sidon called, and the young red head spun around and smiled. She ran over and hugged Sidon, and he put you down so you could hug her as well.
"Do you want me to wrap this up? It is getting late." She put her hands behind her back and the cute smile on her face never faded from the first moment you saw her that day.
"Oh, Aurelia sweetheart, we've got it. Don't trouble yourself." You returned the smile and Sidon put a hand on each of your shoulders.
"Mom, you and dad should go relax. You've had quite a day." She put her hands on her hips and looked back and forth from you and Sidon.
"You've had quite a day too, dear." You put your hand on her other shoulder and then reached back to hold Sidon's hand on yours. Aurelia nodded and looked down at her feet.
"But you guys should spend some time together, get some rest. I have to go to Hyrule Castle tonight anyways to get the preparation for Link and Zelda's return to their positions."
"You aren't going by yourself, are you?" Sidon tilted his head a bit, and Aurelia looked up. It was the way she looked at the both of you that brightened up your day. Her sweet smile and wide eyes was just so precious.
"No, they're coming to get me in a few hours. And Muzu wanted to come as well." She glanced over at the center of the domain where Mipha's statue was, and there was Muzu and Bazz talking and laughing.
'Since when did that start?' You and Sidon both wondered, exchanging looks of confusion.
"Alright then. You're sure you don't want us to come with you though?" You asked, gaze not leaving Muzu and Bazz.
"I'm sure. I've got everything covered." She gave you a thumbs up and you sighed and gave one back, finally breaking your stare.
"Alright. If you need anything else, you know where to find us." You hugged her tight, and Sidon was quick to wrap his arms around you both.
"Okay!" She chirped. "Well, I'll see you two tomorrow at the recoronation. And... sorry for the short notice. Everyone wanted it done as soon as possible."
"It's alright. We'll be there first thing in the morning." Sidon put a hand on your back and gently rubbed it, relaxing you're entire body even just from his touch.
"Sounds good! Well, I better get this rolling. Love you mom, love you dad." She started heading towards Bazz and Muzu, still just as cheerful. You could tell she was trying to adjust to saying mom and dad now and it was sweet. You missed being called mom, and Sidon seemed to miss the title of dad even more.
"Alright. Come on honey." Sidon picked you up and kissed your cheek before heading to your room.
