"what took you guys so long?"

jeno and jaemin entered renjun's house and took off their shoes and masks.

"first of all, we had to look for masks", jeno started, "and then some people were looking outside their windows"

"so we did what most people would've done", jaemin continued, looking at renjun straight in the eye. "we hid."

renjun raised an eyebrow at the two who were at the door. "you guys took that long to hide?"

"yeah" jeno said, sitting on the couch beside renjun, and jaemin followed. renjun laid his head on jaemin's shoulder, while drawing circles on jeno's palm with his finger.

"so... where's your room?" jaemin asked, while wrapping his arm around renjun's shoulder and hanging it a bit on jeno's.

renjun stood up from the warmth the boys gave him, and gestured them to follow. they headed into the hallway and went inside renjun's room. and boy, was it aesthetically pleasing.

the room was painted white, with accents of beige on the walls. his bed was neatly made, with a moomin plushie leaning on a pillow. a shelf beside his bed was filled with moomin plushies. on the window, there was a little cactus excited to pluck someone. there were indoor plants here and there. a drawer contained his clothes, that were neatly folded, and right next to it there was a desk, with his laptop on full display.

"i- what- this room doesn't need redesigning, injun." jaemin said in awe, squishing one of renjun's plushies. "oh my it's so sOFT!!"

"what do you want to change anyway? it's already perfect!" jeno exclaimed, sitting on his bed. "damn this is nice."

"hey, i have paintings to hang." renjun said, making jeno and jaemin look at him with a look of awe.

"YOU PAINT?!" the two exclaimed at the older, making renjun flinch at the sudden outburst. he nodded, telling jeno to move aside and get off the bed.

he grabbed the bed and pushed it upwards,  revealing a secret compartment. inside, there were his paintings, lying peacefully.

"i don't want to let them clutter in there, besides, there has to be enough space for me to fit in there just in case the purge happens in korea."

the younger boys looked at him weirdly before proceeding to look at the paintings instead.

"woah", jaemin said, holding one of the older's paintings. it was a simple sunrise painting, with silhouettes of palm trees and some people. it looked extremely gorgeous, and in jaemin's eyes, it was the best painting in the world.

on the other hand, jeno was holding another painting of renjun's. there was a girl jumping off of a high diving board into a pool, but there was no water, and another girl at the bottom of the pool, watching the girl jump, doing nothing to stop her. in the sky, there were letters. jeno's brows furrowed, squinting more to see it properly. after a while, he saw that it said ‘Hi High’.

"is this a scene from a music video?" jeno asked the chinese, showing the painting. renjun nodded. "it's loona's hi high mv."

"anyhow, i got a new polaroid camera, so i also want to add like a wall full of photos just for reminiscing." renjun grabbed a box on the secret compartment of his bed, and setting it onto the floor. he opened it and inside there was a pastel green instax inside, with boxes of films.

"wow." jaemin started, "you think we can finish it all in a day?"

renjun nodded. "yeah. besides, if we don't, you guys can just stay here."
