jaemin woke up to his phone ringing and a sleeping jeno right beside him on renjun's bed. he tried to remove jeno's grasp from his waist, on which he succeeded, and picked up his phone.

"hello?"

"jaemin hyung!"

jaemin hadn't heard that voice in a while. he looked at the caller id and his smile popped up.

"sungchan!" jaemin said, eyes sparkling in delight. "how are you, my very distant cousin?"

"oh fuck off." sungchan huffed on the other line. "i'm literally your closest cousin."

"yeah, but in distance not really." jaemin pointed out, and sungchan chuckled on the other line.

"anyhoot, how are ya doing?"

"nothing, really. just got a crush on two boys at the moment," jaemin shyly said.

"uh huh. nice joke." the boy on the other line snorted, but jaemin kept quiet.

"wait, you're not kidding?" jaemin let out a small hum.

sungchan stayed quiet for a bit making jaemin worry. but as he opened his mouth, sungchan let out a squeak.

"hyung! why didn't you tell me? gosh, if y'all get into a poly relationship i'll be the first to congratulate you."

"if. the keyword is if." jaemin sulked. "it's not like they'll like me back anyway."

"don't be sulky! you have a great personality, and if they don't at least like you just a little bit, i'll make sure to make them realize that you're an amazing person."

"woah, thanks sungchan." jaemin chuckled. "how are you doing?"

"oh, my roommate just moved in earlier this week. he's really cool! his name is shotaro and he's japanese."

jaemin smirked. "does sungchan have a crush?"

the mentioned boy chuckled. "nah, it'll take him a long time to make me like him in that way."

as jaemin was about to reply, two arms snaked around his waist and a head rested on his shoulder.

"jaem, why are you up?"

"uh, hold on a sec. bye sungchan! my friend just woke up."

"is he one of your crush—" "yeah, now shh."

jaemin ended the call and faced a half asleep jeno.

"go back, lay on the bed."

"no." jeno refused, holding jaemin a bit tighter. "who was that?"

"my cousin, he was just asking how i was doing."

"oh."

"just lay back on the bed."

"not until you come here and lay down with me."

"but it's almost 2 pm!" jaemin screeched, but jeno replied with a pout. "ugh, fine."
