Steve didn't know it yet, but Eviana knew who he was. A white guy in Colombia stuck out like a sore thumb. Pacho had told his sister to be careful when it came to the DEA. A couple of weeks ago, Eviana was cornered in the city because a policeman spotted her and alerted the search bloc. They thought that by catching Eviana, Pacho would turn himself in. Well, they were wrong.
Pacho didn't show up. Instead, Eviana contacted her lawyer and left Pacho out of any conversation Colonel Carrillo wanted to have. She was free to go in a couple of hours. After all, Pacho got the best lawyers in the city for his siblings.
But that was weeks ago. Right now, pablo had to deal with the avianca plane bombing.
"I just don't want him coming here, Pacho!" Eviana complained as she walked with Pacho into one of their many houses. It was out in the open and many of Pacho's men surrounded the place. Pacho and Eviana were on the second floor, he playing with one of his men at a game of pool. "He blew up the plane."
Pacho set his cue stick down, giving his full attention to his sister. "Evi, it's business I have to discuss. He won't be alone. He brought his cousin."
As if on cue, Pablo, Gustavo, Kiko Moncada and Fernando Galeano made their way into Pacho's house, ready to talk about past events. Eviana followed Pacho down the stairs and glared at the head of the Medellín cartel. She had to admit, Pablo scared her, but she learned that he was just another man that had problems, a wife and kids, money and most of all, respect. The Cali godfathers had that too, so she convinced herself that she wasn't afraid as much.
"Pablo!" Pacho greeted the drug lord when they got to the bottom of the stairs.
"Pacho," Pablo shook hands. He tilted his head to see Eviana staring at him. "Eviana, great to see you."
The men looked at Eviana, waiting for her to respond, but she didn't. She let out a sigh and excuses herself from Pacho. She didn't say where she was going, which concerned Pacho a bit. She would always get in some trouble that required him to send someone to help her. She could feel them staring at her as she walked away until Pacho got their attention away from his sister.
She got her car keys from her purse and went outside to where a load of cars were parked. "Navegante, tell Pacho I'm going to the city to meet my friend. I won't be gone that long, maybe a day or two so he doesn't go crazy looking for me."
Navegante shook his head in disagreement. "No can do, Evi. If you need to go to the city, I'll drive you there myself." He grabbed the keys from her hand.
"Please let me do this by myself, Navegante. I just need some time to myself. I promise to bring you back those cookies you like." Eviana grabbed the keys back from Navegante's hands and tried her best to act innocent like.
"They only sell those in Medellín." Navegante pointed out.
"I would go to fucking Japan to get something you'd like." Eviana smiled at the sicario. "Please let me go?"
For Eviana, it was easy to convince someone to do something for her. Navegante was her only true friend at the moment. He let her go and made her promise that she wasn't going to get in any trouble. She did. Eviana drove down to the the city of cali first to get some snacks for her hours long ride to Medellín, where her friend, Corina, lived. Her ride was going good, only her and the soft music playing in the background. Everything was going good, just how she liked it.
As she was turning a corner, she got cornered by police cars demanding her to get out of the car. It had been a while since someone demanded her to get out of a car and waving a gun in the air. She kinda missed it, if she was being honest. She got her hands off the wheel and reached inside the console to retrieve her pack of cigarettes and lighter. She took her time lighting her cigarette while the police forcefully opened the car door and demanded, once again, for her to get out.
She tossed the almost empty packet on the car floor. Her hands undid the seat belt and she finally did what they wanted her to do. When Eviana finally got out, she could hear whispers coming from other policemen. Probably wondering why a Cali native was in Medellín. Not just any Cali native, but the sister of one of the cali godfathers.
"What?" Eviana asked out loud to the police surrounding her. She chuckled at the frightened faces of the men, smoke coming out of her mouth as she did. "Tell Colonel Carrillo to come here. There's a reason why you stopped me, I wanna know from him."
A police grabbed her wrists, twisting them to her back and pressed her against her car. He didn't even bothered to put handcuffs on her. He remained in that position until Carrillo arrived, two men that definitely weren't police, followed closely behind
"Let her go!" Carrillo shouted at the man who was holding Eviana. "Let her go now. She has powerful men on her side, they could be watching you right now. Do you really want your life to end?"
That was enough for the man to let her go.
Eviana's wrists were hurting. She watched as one of the men Carrillo arrived with, eyed her. She was already used to men doing that to her.
"Are all men perverts or is that just you?" Eviana snapped.
"I wouldn't classify myself as a pervert." The blonde man quickly said back.
Eviana smiled. So she finally got to meet the famous Steve Murphy. The white guy that almost made his way into every conversation Pacho would have with her.
"Pervert or not, please tell me something. I wanna know the reason I got pulled over. Colonel? Care to share or is it oh so classified that you can't tell me and if you do, you're going to have to kill me because I know. Please, the floor is yours." Eviana said which made Carrillo shake his head. He knew she always used insults to talk, which made it more difficult to even get something out of her.
"Why are you driving this car?" Carrillo asked.
"Because it's mine." Eviana said confused. "Did I miss some sort of memo that states I can't drive my own car now?"
Peña stepped in. "Not exactly. Narcos are the only ones who can afford cars like these and well you own one."
"Nice observation skills, detective!"
"I'm not a detective."
An: so my babies met but trust me next chapter will have them actually have a full on conversation :) Also pacho's outfit in this episode is to die for. The suit jacket and the mustard yellow pants is iconic. Well every outift is iconic I NEED THEM
